The Dolphins will never be more than playoff "contenders" until they get a franchise QB.

Even then, this team still has enough holes that it won't be a championship "contender" until they are all filled.

Hell, look at what is going on in Green Bay. And they've got a great QB.

Anybody saying Tannehill is "good enough" needs only look to Green Bay and actually compare Tannehill to Aaron Rodgers.

Bring in the read option, keep Tannehill, and draft a "Tunsil-type" quarterback who has slipped low for some other reason but draft him in a much later round.

Tannehill is not accurate enough and he can't throw the deep pass...

Caroo was open by a mile and he over threw him......

We've been winning games because of the running game and special teams..

We've been winning games because we are playing like a TEAM.

So if we lose Tannihill sucks. Its all on him. Why didn't he throw more bombs and get us in the endzone?

But if we win.....Its in spite of Tannehill?

I've said all along we just need an Oline to block. Thats it. We have recievers and tight ends stepping up TO BLOCK. Yes the ground game has opened up. That helps stretch the field. Its a TEAM SPORT. Never was all Tannehills fault for losing and its not becuase of him we have won.

Flashback: 2002 Ricky Williams ran for 1853 yds and we didnt make the playoffs. WHY?

You dead set on not giving Tanny any credit and its dead wrong. Hes stays healthy , has made way better decisions and less mistakes since GASE has coached him.

hes our guy , deal with it. We could use a better back up for aging Matt Moore though.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Better to overthrow than to underthrow. I'd like to see three or four deep pass attempts per game. For some reason we are seeing only one, even if it's successful. With opposing defenses stacking the line to try and stop Ajayi there are many single coverage opportunities presenting themselves. No time to be tepid. Go for it.

We need Linebacker and secondary help before we need a QB. I like Tanne, he's not great, but in the system they are running, he will be efficient enough to win, especially with a good defense.

Rypien, Hostettler, Dilfer and Brad Johnson all won superbowls ... they weren't real good, but they had good teams around them and weren't asked to do too much.

Ken, where does that stat come from? It's pretty vague.
Is it deep ball completions percentage or is it completions total?

What do they consider deep ball? Over 20 yards? In the air or YAC included?

It's plays over 20 yards and deep ball completion percentage mostly, of which RT was 9th in the league last season with 39% of his throws being completed. Another telling stat is that 54% of those throws were on target. Of the 8 QB's that were ranked higher its interesting that the deep ball completion % was higher than RT's for only 5 of them.

People who say he isn't a good deep ball thrower or that he can't do it are simply not paying attention.

BTW: Some of the guys that were worse statistically throwing the deep ball were: Brady, Flacco, Ryan, Newton, Dalton, Carr and Smith.

This year so far, he's again 9th league wide with 43% of his attempts being completed.

It is what it is now, but you can bet, that as teams show more respect for Ajayi, his completion percentage for all attempts will rise. He will make less attempts, but his efficiency will improve.

This could be the first year in Tannehill's tenure, that the team around him gives him a fair shot at success.

With Earl Mitchel back, and Culliver and Howard not far away from seeing action, the defense will improve in all areas. When that happens, the offence will be better able to dictate the outcomes of games.

We're not there yet, but give the guy a chance. Now that Gase is building a team around him, lets see what he can do.

Your in Cincinnati. I'm about 1.5 hrs north of the stadium. We have people here who live in Boston , California. Sam Sam lives a block from the stadium. Maybe he's just too close to see it and needs to get out more? eye rolling smiley
