Big return, without penalty...great way to get back in the game. That was awesome surprise. smileys with beer

Now we have to put pressure on and stop the Jets.

With 2 min to go--don't be foolish guys.

Great--no mistakes and Ajayi picks up some running room and goes over 100 yards.

Yeah! Another win.

That's 3 in a row...what a great feeling.

That long run back was the difference. Give that man a cigar!

Well I didn't turn off the TV. Almost.

That kickoff return for a TD was a total game changer. Not sure if RT17 could have led the team to come back late in the 4th. He makes me totally cringe. It was an ugly win IMO. Ajayi being able to close the game against a tough run defense was fabulous.

Just a couple post-game observations.

Ajayi ran hard despite resistance from Jets D. The team didn't abandon the run. Good to see.

Tannehill was unimpressive. He managed the game okay, but didn't make anything happen with his legs. There were times when he should have tucked the ball and run either left or right. Why he didn't do this is an unknown. It's almost like he forgets. He tried a couple of long passes which at the time seemed rather foolish to me. Going long when you can make a short pass for a first down doesn't make a lot of good sense to me. Thankful for the long run that put the Dolphins up by 4. I don't believe Tannehill could have led the team down the field and scored 6 to put us in a winning situation. He seldom has done it and I don't have much confidence that he can do it. It's up to others on the team--special teams or D, to make up the difference in those situations.

I thought overall play calling was weak. I'd like to see more rollouts and passes to the running backs coming out of the back field.

To many penalties gave up too much turf to the Jets. That needs to be addressed without spoiling the aggressive that we are showing. A fine balance that may be hard to achieve.

Bottom line--WE WON AGAIN. smileys with beer

Totally expected us to blow this game. Great job by Drake and Ajayi sealing the deal.

Nice to have a back to ride when leading at the end.

Tanne camped out in the pocket too many times today. Needs to start moving sooner to make some plays. Good think the STs picked him up today.

Maxwell is horrible. Can't wait until Howard and/or Culliver are healthy.

Jelani Jenkins is not good. We were better off when he was hurt.

The jets had a stout run defense. I think we did very well running the football when it counted.

111 Yards on the ground against the jets is unheard of.

They have the same problem we have.

They have no QB.

I actually stood up and cheered and shouted at the top of my lungs on the 20 yard td run. Not just because it was a great play, but because he had lost 6 yards on his previous 3 or 4 carries I was worried we were going to stop trying to run the ball against the best run defense in the league.

After sleeping off my beers, I woke up to watch the 2nd half of the Raiders/Broncos game and the difference was stark. Carr is a far better QB than Tannehill, there's no question. And the Bronco's pass rush is far better than ours, there's no question. It was like a prison break every time Carr went back to throw - Yet, he still was able to work in the pocket and make plays. Tannehill would have been destroyed. Sure, Carr was working with some good skilled position players but are the Raiders receivers that much better than our group? I don't think so, I'll take Stills, Parker, Landry over most of the other groups in the league.

The fact is, if we're going to win, it's going to be because our OL opens enough holes for our RBs to rip off chunk yardage and keep our defense off the field. Our defense isn't great, but it's okay as long as they aren't on the field all the time.

It's not a coincidence that our D has played a lot better since we started running the ball, rather than going no huddle and 3 and out.

They still aren't playing good enough in my mind, there's a lack of impact and pressure plays, but at least they look servicable right now.
