I think Tanne looks like a serviceable QB with a good running game and D.

Stay balanced and he should be fine.

What's impressed me the most is his pocket awareness. He's no longer camping out in there and moving around like he should be.

I don't expect him to be marino so if he can keep this up I'm good with it.

Lets all just wait and see how the guy does with a running game, and pass protection. I'm still not convinced, the last 2 games seem too good to be true, but it they can keep it up, and he still makes bad throws when he has time .... then we know what we're dealing with.

The remaining schedule is overall pretty soft, if they can keep it up, we may have something.

P.S. - I still Tanne is good enough to win. He has had historically bad pass protection, and when Lamar Miller was there, he only got the ball 12 or 13 times a game and averaged 5 yards per .... try to figure that out? With the pieces in place ... Tannehill is our guy.

Glad you said "almost everyone", Sam.

So you do not agree that when he stood in the pocket without moving he looked like a deer in the headlights waiting to be sacked?

I guess you enjoy disagreeing with people just for the hell of it.

Only reasonable explanation i give that you are disagreeing is that you didnt even know what deer in the headlights meant.

Not sure where you are going with this, Sam.

I was only commenting on the statement "almost everyone on this board." There are a few of us here that don't necessarily agree with that terminology. True, there have been times when he was back there and should have at least thrown the ball away when under heavy pressure. but, there were also times he did get the ball out of there, under heavy pressure, for a good gain.

I am only saying RT is a good QB; not in Marino's class, of course, but a good QB none the less, and there are quite a few teams in the NFL who would gladly take him off of Miami's hands.

Many posters here have commented that RT is weak with the long ball. He has done a pretty good job of that this year. He now has a running game (hopefully, it will continue). This should open up the field for him. Let's see what happens vs the Jets.

Anyway, RT is a good QB, good enough, with a good surrounding cast, to lead them to the playoffs, and maybe further. Not saying that will happen this year, but we will have to see how the whole team plays vs the Jets.

OR.......He's had no coaching or support until this year.He was holding on to the ball trying to Create something, anything. Hmmmmmmmm let me throw this away or risk a possible play and take a hit. Let me do it over and over again .

It's not a coincidence Sam he is having a better year. .

We drafted a 1st round QB and you wanted bomb after bomb . You couldn't have been more wrong about the kid, and I couldn't have been more right.

Infatuation? Guilty as charged.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

RESPONSE: Yes, we all agree that too many times he did not throw the ball in the cheap seats but instead he took a sack that's the deer thing...(the deer thing doesn't mean he picks out the wrong target but that he stands there and gets sacked and if his excuse is 'well, nobody's open' then he should just throw the ball away and not get sacked.)

> but, there

RESPONSE: Of course this is true but it is true of every quarterback but with Tanny, last year and the years before, it happened too few times.

RESPONSE: He could not only be good but spectacular in the right scheme and with a good running game.

and

RESPONSE: Yeah!!! Like Carolina, Seattle, and SF, all who run a scheme more suited to Tanny's talents.

RESPONSE: Not me. The times (when the pocket holds up) that he has thrown the long ball, I have seen him amazingly accurate but some fool like Kenny Stills has dropped the ball or just plain failed to catch it.

RESPONSE: Agree 100%.
