That's the key Mizzou....if that "elite" QB is there for Miami, then you take him, otherwise it will be the same old, same old with the OL unable to protect the QB nor open the holes for the RB.

Similar to what happened when Shula got to Miami...he didn't give a crap, he was going to do it his way. He and the FO had their problems, but Shula's success shut them up and Shula was able to pretty much do what he wanted to do.

Sorry but from what ive seen Gase is the 2nd coming of Cam Cameron,i.e in over his head.

If Gase is a QB whisperer then either Gase has lost his voice or Tannehill is tone deaf. While Tanny is at fault with certain aspects (locks on,holds the ball too long), the o line was abysmal last sunday.Turner and Thomas ( we would have had better protection with Turner and Hooch) were being thrown around the park and at no point did he do anything to correct it.Perhaps im missing something but did we only have 5 fit offensive lineman? I was always told "The defenition of stupidity is someone who tries something over and over again but expects to get a different result everytime"

Just my opinion but if he doesnt get us to a 5-11 or 6-10 record this season,i can see Gase being another duffer that weve bought in and be shown the door.

Spot on. He's another Philbin. But we passed on Todd Bowles & Dan Campbell, oh, I forget, neither of them had head coaching experience...eye rolling smiley

You do realize no one in the NFL gave Dan Cambell a shot at even being an offensive coordinator this year and that Bowles has a worse record then us right now?

As far as being the 2nd coming of Cam Cameron that isnt even a remotely close comparison.. Gase and Cameron couldnt be more different personalities or coaching styles....

I'll let the MarcsBros respond to your comment about Cameron versus Gase.

I responded in the same temperament you made your post... I guess you can post "snarky" but no one else can respond in the same manner as your post? Dude lets talk football instead of this silliness direction about nonsense you are taking this post... I am not whining about anything, in fact you were the one who came back whining..

Are you going to argue on the merits of the discussion or distract the issues with this other non relevant melodramatic stuff? If we are just going to make this a nasty cutdown each other post then fine I will handle myself accordingly. But it seems like a gigantic waste of time.. And distracting from what I thought was a bit ridiculous in your original post.. You were being "snarky" about us not hiring ex coaches to be our HC despite ones lack of interest by all the other NFL teams for the same position and another who is having a worse season then us at this point....

By the way I think "snarky" is my new favorite word...

Snarky is good. I may use it to name my next cat.

You guys fight like you're married.

Anyway to the topic of Gase. He's in his 1st year. I can't make any decision on him yet because I have yet to see how things change from year to year, see how he drafts, handles the off season, etc. There are too many teams unwilling to give their new HC a chance and fire them after two years. I say give Gase 3 years and then make a judgement call on his success or lack there of.

Well, Hell, FootballGod, if Philbin can get 3 years, why not Gase? Gase, IMO, has a lot more to offer than Philbin did.
