Miami is a 6 1/2 point underdog.
Last week Miami was the biggest underdog in the league and the game was pretty close.

Two big questions that loom for me are 1. was the defense that good or is Seattle offense over-rated. 2. Whether Mario Williams plays. If Williams plays, our chances are significantly better. Jason Jones was the beneficiary of more playing time when Williams went down and proved to be mediocre. Without extreme pressure on NE QB, I doubt our secondary stands up.

Belichick will have an easy time planning to beat the Dolphins and he'll out coach the Dolphins during the game. A 6.5 point advantage for the Pats is quite low in my opinion. I don't think we can stay with their offensive prowess.

Facing the Patriots so early in the season even without Brady at QB is not going to be anything but a tough game for the Dolphins. Despite my distaste for the Pats, they do have a well oiled machine on offense. Belichick is the reigning master at the head coaching job in the NFL. In contrast, we have a hodgepodge of players and a coaching staff that is very suspect on training a team to win.

I'll bet Mario Williams will not be able to play Sunday. Another thought will we ever see a "healthy" Devante Parker on the field?

This game will hang on our pass rush. If we can hit Garoppolo early and often, we can rattle him and have a chance. The Patriots have shown over the last 10 years that they are susceptible to a strong pass rush. That's how the Giants beat them twice in the Superbowl.

Mario Williams will likely be the key.

Well, I thought that 10.5 was low against Seattle, so what do I know? I think that a strong pass rush can keep the game close... but without Williams, I doubt we can generate that. The other concern is the inability to run. Controlling the clock would help the defense immensely. I still think it was a factor in the inability to stop Seattle the last drive. They were on the field an awfully long time.

This game will depend on the passrush. If our dline succeeds the we will be successfull.

We have beat them to the ground before.

It can be done again.

But again, it depends on our passrush.

I am hopefully that Miami can beat New England this week. It should be a good game and test. Was the positives from the game a 1st week fluke? or is the team going to revert the last few years? A pass rush is key, Garoppolo is inexperienced and can get out of control and wild; hopefully the defense can force few turnovers. The NE OL is a mess still. The Defense also can't let Blount get going on the ground. He is a battering ram, but he is slow and if you plug up the holes getting moving sideways he is a lousy RB. The Miami offense will need to generate more points, but I trust Gase can figure it out. I am hopeful that Tannehill is turning the corner to being a better QB under Gase's direction.

Miami is coming off a game they could have won and New England escaped with a missed FG in a game they could have easily lost.

Just think if they lose, then everyone will get to endure another week of:

"Good glad those disrespectful, un-patriotic dirt bags lost".

and

"Kama is a bitch!"

It can only go on so long, then the talent that does exist among the 49 players that didn't protest will either want to leave the team because of appearance or monetary pressures due to lose of sponsorships and endorsements that are sure to come.

Good luck replacing them too. You think it sucked to have Payton Manning turn the organization down. No one will want to play for the brand that labeled themselves as the team that disrespects America.

NOBODY....

If they lose on Sunday against the Patriots I read that they will have less than an 80% (or close to it) chance of not making the playoffs this year.

Enjoy the ride.

I thought you said you were going away forever. I suppose you'll just show up AGAIN under ANOTHER alias?

The pass rush could be somewhat weaker this week vs NE. Depends on whether M. Williams passes the concussion protocol. If not, it is reported Wake will probably play more than he did last week. If so, hopefully that doesn't put too much wear-and-tear on his achilles.

NE's running game (could) be key. Miami didn't play very good run defense last week. The front seven did a good job with their pass rush, but gave up too many big plays against the run. Have to shore that up. If I'm not mistaken, Blount hurt Miami last year.

Yes, Miami's offense needs to put up more points, and they could have had more than their 10 last week, but failed in many ways. Gase has to get that running game going. I read where Ajayi is back on the field. In my opinion, after watching Foster last week, Ajayi should be the starter, giving Foster some plays both in the running game and the passing game.

BTW, Parker may play vs NE.

Miami is an underdog for many reasons: NE is constantly on top of the AFC East, no matter who the QB is; Miami is a perennial bottom-feeder; Miami has a new HC (and coaching staff, for that matter); and other reasons.

Miami sucks? Who really knows right now. Give them a few more games. But, then again, Miami has a tough first month, so we may not know until we break into the second qtr. However, if Miami plays tough against NE and Cincy, and maybe even wins one of those games, then we can say Miami doesn't suck. But, on the other hand...

Posts that are not about the Dolphins or NFL-related in any way, are what is going away, from now on.

Now that the season is begun and we have more football issues to talk about. Let's do that, instead of other silliness.
