It's Not just Lack of Talent

Obviously, there are huge holes in the Dolphins lineup as well as lack of depth.

There is something else inherently wrong in Miami. The team, no matter the personnel makeup, rolls over and gives up too easily when they really need to step it up. The Dolphins lay a huge rotten egg in a game then talk about "missed opportunities" and "having to do better". There are too many stupid penalties and missed assignments. It's great to talk the talk but at some point you have to walk it as well.

Some of this is poor talent, but much of it is the culture of the Dolphins. It has been this way since before Philbin. The Dolphins are a soft, finesse, milquetoast team. If Dan Campbell couldn't change that outlook, I don't hold out much hope anyone can.

Only way to fix this is we need to do what the browns back then did.......They are the ravens now...

Ross sell the team to another state....

We start over from scratch here in miami with 53 new players all new coaches and personel....Suplemental draft......Etc.

The team will still be named the miami dolphins and we stay in the same stadium and zone.

The browns did it.....Why can't we.

Sam have you been drinking lots of cerveza? winking smiley

Browns had the same ownership when they MOVED to another state (I'm sure that's what you meant).

Hey, lots of us Dolfans live out of FL, we'll be happy to take them in any New England state. How about the Portland (Maine) Dolphins. Or the Portsmouth (NH) Dolphins. Both cities are on the water so the Phins name works. Also, in the case of New Hampshire, they have no state income tax (similar to Florida) but also have NO SALES TAX....not to mention PERFECT FOOTBALL WEATHER winking smiley

Maybe the Dolphins (team, front office, ownership, etc) could go to Los Angeles and they could move the Rams to Miami.

While the fan in me agrees with your sentiment to run Ross and his crew out of town, lets face facts, the 'NEW' Browns are currently 3-11...not much difference lol...smileys with beer

What needs to be done and should be done won't happen for the foreseeable future. Ross will allow Tannenbaum to further destroy the team for the next few years. Finally, after some single digit win seasons, he'll fire his sorry ass and the whole process starts over again. It's too complicated for him to fire everyone, isolate the most promising GM candidates, and tell them they'll be paid more than any other GM and will have total control in rebuilding the franchise. Eric DeCosta with Baltimore would be the ultimate coup and I believe given the right conditions could be had. Even if he wouldn't come to Miami, there are other candidates that have promising resumes that would. But no, our clown of an owner would rather have the man who traded up to pick "the Sanchize" in charge. Pathetic.

I think the "culture" was changed.only certain players like Laundry and Jones, Grimes , have the ability to respond.

The worst lineman performance I ever saw was Dallas Thomas last sunday. But guses what? He will play again because pounce and Albert went down as well.

Give Campbell a chance to build his own team and condition them. This is not a fair evaluation of Dan Campbell or Ryan Tanehill.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Treasure - I really like Coach Campbell and it has been disappointing to see the season play out. I hoped that they would at least go down fighting/competing in games. The average loss margin this year is over 15 points. That is an absolute ass-kicking in the parity-world of the NFL.

I agree. 100%.

But he hasn't had time to pick staff, coaches, players, nothing . He came in and has to drive someone else's car set up for them .

Here is what I'm saying. Unless you hit reset, or implode the entire team, start from scratch. I BELIEVE Dan Campbell is our best chance to add to what's still good about this team. We need a completely new Oline. Hopefully Pouncy is not hurt that bad. Might be time to shop SUH to add more depth and fill holes. Good chance Wake might never be the same. What's still good?

Tanehill, Jones, Grimes, we have a handful of good rookies.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Tannehill has a lot of money. He needs to put up a bussiness and concentrate on that and stop making the life of fans miserable with his inept play.

I knew this year depended on how far tannehill progressed.

Well we know how that turned out.

Hopefully our hopes do not go up when we play a highschool team like in the colts this sunday and probably beat them..

Tannehill would be a superstar in that league.

He needs to put up a restaurant....

And have a sandwich named after him.

I will have a margarita as appetiser and a wet firecracker sandwich as the main course.

Hell, I live here in San Diego and after this season, we won't have a team. The San Diego Dolphins sound good to me.

I finally took the time to look it up, but there is a (relatively rare) species or two of Dolphin that does inhabit the cold waters off the cost of Canada. They are not bottle nose dolphins, that's for sure--they look different. So after the Dolphins move to Portsmouth NH we'll have to have ANOTHER LOGO CHANGE!

thumbs up

Speaking of lack of talent....Look at our 2016 defense.....This is likely what they start with before FA.

LDE DaMontre Moore
DT Suh
DT Phillips
RDE Terrence Fede

SLB Misi
MLB Vigil
SLB Jenkins

CB1 Lippett
CB2 McCain
CBN McCain
FS Aikens
SS Jones

Likely releases.....

Jamar Taylor, Brent Grimes, Earl Mitchell, Quinton Coples

Free agents.....

Olivier Vernon, Derrick Shelby, Kelvin Sheppard, Spencer Paysinger

How Ross can look at this and not fire Tannenbaum and Hickey on the spot is beyond me.

Did they make marijuana legal up there in NE? grinning smiley

New Logo? YES! New State? NO. I would definitely be up for a city change though. I really hate going to Miami and Dade county. Orlando Dolphins really has a nice ring to it!I would love to see the Jags move west and open the state up to more options for the Phins.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I'm tired of driving in circles berk. Been here for too long. I travel away from here as often as I can, I love to be able to get in a car and actually go somewhere...besides in a circle lol

More importantly, my fiance lives in San Diego. We both love going into Mexico and wherever else. She is originally from Ensenada and we have a lot of fun when we visit there. We had a great time at the Baja 1000 in November. There's no off road racing here in Hawaii, even all the jeep trails are shut down as landowners are selling out to development. Let's not forget the $6 price tag for a gallon of milk here.

Finally, if I retire here I'd be paying my mortgage until the day I die. We're both tired of flying back and forth, and I can sell my house here and pay cash elsewhere with the equity that I have in it. My quality of life here for retirement would be zero. I guess you could say I want to "smell the roses" and enjoy life a bit more. It's been tough being a Dolphins fan, I'm ready to enjoy my life a little lol!

Come to the Treasure coast of Florida! Houses are reasonable, you have all kinds of different living available. Its the #1 place to retire in the state and I'm particularly proud that the crime rate is also the lowest in the state except for one or two problem areas. And you could make 2-3 Dolphin home games a year easy if you don't mind a little traffic which I'm guessing you don't if you dig San Diego. thumbs up

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
