I think the Coliseum was a mess, needed major renovation and ultimately wasnt a very good design for Football... The cost involved with fixing or modernizing the COliseum was monumental... They blamed that condition of the Coliseum, on the fact they couldnt sell tickets, especially ones with much value...

So they believe in a modern high end stadium they could sell NFL tickets and boxes... If they win I would say yes, if they dont I would say no....

Here's what's happening.

Stan Kronke(Rams' owner) has already purchased the Hollywood Park race track area in Inglewood, and is planning on building an 80,000 seat state-of-the-art stadium/venue there.
Engineering and building plans are already completed and have been fast-tracked through the City of Inglewood for construction to start this December.
Kronke sees the obvious cash cow that lays dormant in Los Angeles for an NFL team. A second team(probably the Raiders) would become a tenant in the new Inglewood stadium, creating more revenue for Kronke, as well as off season events.
There will be ZERO money put out by taxpayers for the stadium. Kronke is footing the entire bill.
Cant wait to see the phins there one day!!

Not one stadium should be funded by taxpayers. The NFL makes billions. They should offer low interest loans to every team to build stadiums.

I actually like the way the deal was structured in Miami between Ross and the county... Ross gets bonus checks, 4 million to land a Superbowl, 4 million for World Cup Championship event, College Football Championship 3 million, World Cup semi final 3 million, College play off game 2 million, $750,000 for international soccer events.... SO he gets paid for delivering the events that boost hotel, restaurant, etc revenue... I think that is good way model for teams and governments to follow in the future..

I agree, crowder. That's the type of incentive that makes sense.
