Peter King ?@SI_PeterKing 6h6 hours ago
RT @TheBigBank: Pete Carroll's explanation is akin to saying "They knew Michael Jordan was getting the ball so we gave it to Dennis Rodman."

This pretty much sums it up for me........totally disgusted and don't wanna hear or talk about anything football related unless it has to do with the Dolphins and what their future holds in FA and the draft......that is all, thank you.

<<<<wish I could show Pete Carroll the choke sign, effing moron>>>>>

Took his team to back to back SBs. Yeah, we don't want nothing like that around here.

Is Carroll giving himself the "choke sign"?

Talk about throwing up down the front of your shirt, on the biggest moment of the game!!

What a gag job!!

The worst play call in SB history dramatically ended a near back-to- back SB victory. What a horrific blunder by the Seahawks. Unbelievable outcome. sad smiley

The question is: Can wilson recuperate from this?

He better have a short memory.

Wilson was put in a spot to fail and it was all carrols fault.

I think Wilson will be fine Sam. I hope he gained enough confidence from this experience that if he ever receives another dumb *** call like that he says screw that and calls the run in the huddle.

I still can't believe that happened. I tried to think about it last night and just can't recall ANY precedent for a thick headed call like that in my long super bowl memory going back to the early 70's Wow, just dumbfounded that anyone would make a call OR a throw like that with three timeouts, Lynch in the backfield, 2nd and goal on the 1 foot line the super bowl basically won...just wow.

As a Dolphin fan sitting here this morning, I betcha both me and almost every other Dolphin fan feels a helluva lot better than the average Seahawk fan does this morning.

That is my comeback. Rather not be in there at all than to lose like that...or give it away like that to be more precise.

that's a losers' mentality.

Agreed. As the saying goes better them than us...I cant imagine how i would feel if we go to the super bowl and joe philbum makes a call like this.

Don't worry, with pinhead at the helm we won't be seeing the SB any season soon.

And about 50 minutes from my above post, I'm watching CNN and they are reviewing the SuperBowl commercials and analyzing them.

BUT BEFORE THEY STARTED, they said that "Seattle fans might want to turn away because we're discussing the Super Bowl."

I don't think many other people have this "Just was happy to be there" attitude that you have.

Can you imagine being a bill's fan and losing 4 SBs in a row?
I can't.
Seattle fans can pound sand.

You know, another thing is that I think the refs got it wrong when they called that Seattle receiver down on the prior play. I saw no touching of him when he was down.

Had they not made that call and blown the whistle, he might have got up and scored the TD right then.

...This just in, THe Seahawks defeat the Seahawks in SB 49 winking smiley

Yea the way they lost, will sting for a while, but really, IDK what some of you are thinking...Next month or next year or 10 years from now Seahawk fans will be proud their team got to two superbowls back to back, won one and should've won the other. Nobody here will be bragging about finishing 8-8...AGAIN.

On a side note, did anybody else think the way Seattle called the offense in the 4th quarter looked A LOT like us trying to sit on a lead??? Stuff it up the middle twice for a few yards, drop your mobile QB STRAIGHT BACK to look for a safe throw, then punt...I was having flashbacks to the GB and Detroit games.

Maybe not but I'm going to post a link to an LA Times article today accusing him of screwing up a USC Nat'l Championship game in a similar manner.

It's such a typical response and was actually the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw it happen. Make the play and you are labeled balsy and a genius. Don't make the play and you are an idiot.

Lynch was 1 for 5 this year in scoring from the one yard line when running. 20% success rate. The league average is 57.5%.

The pass was a short slant. Not exactly a high turnover percentage pass.

Wilson had only 7 picks all season long. The chance of throwing a pick on an inside slant was miniscule.

It was 2nd down. They had two more attempts if the pass failed.

Lynch had 20 fumbles and 77 non-fumbling negative-yardage plays over the last 3 years. That's 10.7 percent of all of his runs.

Every Patriot player was looking at Marshawn on this play.

They made the call and Wilson choked....on one play. He also put them in the position to win to begin with by connected on two 30 plus yard passes on that drive.

And Pete Carroll is going to get fired? LOL.

I don't fault them for the pass being called even though I personally would have run the ball at least once before attempting a pass. They tried to do what was not expected because EVERYONE in the stadium knew it was going to be a run. I just didn't work much to my dismay.

Fargin Pats.

You honestly think Pete Carrol should be fired and I'm the one not making intelligent posts? Ummmm....okay.
