Sorry, ihatebrady too but you have to blame Gibson and the same atmosphere that allowed BULLYGATE to flourish also allows absence of football thinking and thinking with your emotions.
If you had a competent coaching staff, would such a thing as a Gibson happened.
Think about it hard!
If you had a competent coaching staff, wouldn't his team members YELL AT HIM on the sidelines?
Are u even serious? Have you ever watched professional sports in your life? Way to try and make a scapegoat. He got put in a threatening position with the unsportsmanlike slam. He can complain. The refs hear and see worse on every play. Throwing a flag on Gibson was hair-triggered.

He continued to shoot off his mouth after the call went his way, then ran to the defender and taunted him. He's lucky they didn't throw two unsportsmanlike flags on him.
When you're behind, you should be so grateful for the call that nothing would bring you down or make you angry.
You nod your head and clap and if anything, you get a penalty for celebration but you DON'T go and angrily shout at the guy when the ruling has gone in your favor .....
and if you think the refs ARE BIASED AGAINST YOU that's the last thing you do!
We're talking about stupidity. And yes you complain to the refs!!!! But does that mean you go so far as to give them an excuse to call a double foul which refs LOVE TO DO ANYWAY!
Come on, dude. I started a thread saying the refs would cheat us but I don't think anybody agrees with you on this. It was stupid.

agree 100%. Something goes your way, you quit while you're ahead.
I (with my spotless driving record) got pulled over by a cop not too long ago. I would never 'argue' with a cop but I was prepared to at least politely state my case as to why I didn't think I made a certain moving violation at the intersection. But the first thing the cop said to me was "let me run your license and if you have no warrants you're getting off with a warning." Guess who shut his mouth right away? Me.

Bad example on my part, but if you don't get the point by now, you never will.

I don't think that was the point. The point is it WAS flagged and Gibson couldn't leave well enough alone with the first down in hand.

No argument there!

Hope to see you next year...don't hope for Groundhog Day.
Well even though the outcome was predictable the point in the game that convinced me we need a new coaching staff and roster overhaul was when the pats were passing in the 4th up 28 points.
first, a wheel route to vereen that went off his finger tips and the safety...Wilson...laid off. if you're throwing that late in the game up that big you blow vereen up. penalty be damned.
second, same scenario, you send the house at brady and go low every attempt. all bets off when you're trying to run up the score.
that, to me, is a timid staff and it showed.
it's open season on your qb and the rest of your team when you try to run up the score and our coaching staff just doesn't instill anything in this team and quite frankly, the team should have taken matters into their own hands if they had an iota of competitive spirit whatsoever.

I left my house to go eat breakfast with my son after Tanny's int. I come back home and look at the score and it's a blowout. I really wasn't surprised.
I think this was the first time ever that I was watching a Phins game on TV and walked away from it. And I don't regret it. I've grown tired over the years seeing this team get their asses kicked.
Way too many injuries this season. Once they stated adding up, so did the losses. And it's not just the injuries - this coaching staff doesn't have any savvy.
Something needs to be done or it'll be the same thing all over again in 2015. Same thing over & over - If it isn't injuries, it's players stinking things up, or it's the coaching's lack of competent strategy during a game.
None of your analogies are at all the same, although entertaining none the less.
Miami was down 38-13 with less than 7 min to go in the game when Gibson was flagged. They weren't in it and were not coming back. The offset flag just assisted in that but the strip sack play and loss of 16 yds killed that drive. Gibson didn't lose the game for them. End of story.
Time to lose Philbin, Coyle and tanenhill. If you can't throw deep you dont can't scare NFl teams, We should consider Josh McDaniel or Dan Quinn the Seahawks D coordinator
of coarse did't lose the game that ain't the point. If Gibson did that playing on the other sidelines his job would havebeen in jepordy just ask jonas gray. That is part of why they are who they are and we are who we are..that is on the coaching staff.
Pouncey should be upset, unhappy, a total discontent for being on yet another Dolphins team that is simply mediocre.
++++++
The team will remain behind the eight ball without greater depth on the bench and with an average, if that, coaching staff. These are two glaring deficiencies. Both can be improved upon during the off-season. They have to be done together. The season is lost. The Patriots could have scored 14 more points on us. Apparently, taking out Brady was an insurance policy, rather than an ego trip to throw more sand in our face.
