Some elite defense we have. The team could be 7-2. And you wonder why I’m negative…now Brandon Albert is done their top free agent. Tannehill is going to get crushed again…seasons over!! We can’t get one first down to close out the game, what else is new. After the Lions scored I wanted to throw my cell phone thru the TV I was so upset. Can’t wait to see the Bills defense destroy our patchwork offensive line.

I feel your pain. It does seem an eerily familiar scenario doesn't it. A promising run (and then your season) done in by a couple of last second pooch screws and a key injury...how much bad luck can one team have??

Just like the GB game, The D SHOULD have closed that game out. No the play calling/game management/offensive execution didn't gift wrap it for them but hey...the 19th ranked offense 80 yards away with 2 min left...STOP THE OTHER TEAM thats what a top 5 D should do! TWICE if necessary

Unlike other years though, I see an offense on the upswing. Tannehills new found mobile attack doesn't require a stone wall O-line, Even with only 60 yards rushing we were, offensively, in the game. Had we produced a LITTLE better in the red zone we win going away. To me, that looked like just poor play calling/design. 3 points on 4 opportunities in the first half is pathetic...

19 ranked offense not real fair since Megatron had missed 3 games.

With him in there they are much much better

offense should have closed it out. defense should have shut it down..

both failed.

Tanny proved he is for real against an elite defense.Great game I thoroughly enjoyed.the injuries suck but I guess thats part of the game.

When Miami drafted Ryan Tannihill I never dreamed we would be winni g the Superbowl right away. Team had too many deficits. But I wanted to be competive. We were more then that yesterday. Superbowl is definitely in our future.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Treasure Coast. WOW !

What a nice young man you are. So Tannehill is for real!!!

Dreaming, how about this little tidbit:

If, If's and buts were candy and nuts what a Merry, Merry Christmas we would have. Keep on dreaming.

Just sayin................

Tannehill has been given a new way to play and IMO it suits him FAR better than what they HAD him doing. He is simply better on the move as a scrambler, with the threat of an occasional run or read option thrown in. Considering he only got 60 yadrs of over all rushing to help him out yesterday, I think most (like me) just felt he did better than we expected against a VERY stout defense.

IMO what he now needs is a receiver or two with some SIZE. All our 6ft speed guys fit Dan Marino better than RYan Tannehill and the WCO. Again IMO, it's the reason we are struggling in the red zone, Tannehill is not a 'timing throw' QB with pinpoint accuracy, he needs a big target or two to throw to in traffic. Said it before, I'll say it again, we should've drafted Kelvin Benjamin...

Understand your frustration, tonybaby, but....

I didn't see the game, but we can't lay it all on the feet of the defense. They played a great game, but, as they have many times in the past, folded during crunch time. All I was able to see on that last drive (via hi-lites) was Jones losing Riddick(?) for that TD. Jones had him on the out, then when Stafford started to scramble, he took off up the field and Jones had no real clue as to where he was until too late.

Offense? Again, I did not see the game, so can only go by hi-lites and what I read. Not much offense to speak of, but...Clay needs to learn to bring that ball in so that a DB cannot knock it out of his hands. Hold on to that and.....

Anyway, game was a big disappointment. I at least wanted them to play well. On to Buffalo and let's see what happens. All Miami can hope for now is a winning season; playoffs are out. NE has the division (and I don't care that they are only two games up), and the rest of the AFC is better than Miami, along with better records.

"Tannehill is not a 'timing throw' QB with pinpoint accuracy", BUT that is what this offense is based on.

For a true WCO maybe so. Not sure that's what we have anymore...And I'm not sure WHAT we have lol...but it's better than what we HAD.

I'm sorry , when was the last time any team was perfect? Do I wish we won? Sure.but I'm able to see the positives and move on. It's called having a life (dolphin). I had a great game experience yesterday with my family. We had turnovers, blocked punts, that was as exciting as it gets. We keep it up we will win these games.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Right!!? Only three yrs in Ryan Tannehill is right on track to being elite and the Team champions. But some people only choose to see what they want to because it makes them feel better about their pathetic existence.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Well if you want the negative spin. It's that we have little to no shot of making the playoffs at this point.

Pit, Bal, SD and Buffalo are currently ahead of us but still on the outside looking in. There are just too many teams in the AFC with decent records. Did I mention that the Browns (4th seed) currently lead their division. What year is this?

The Saints are 4-5 and leading their division as the #4 seed.

Given our schedule, we are pretty much done.

#1 Pats
#2 Broncos
#3 Colts
#4 Cleveland
#5 Chiefs
#6 Bengals

Pats @ Colts this week.

It's going to take 11 wins to get in this year so we would only be able to lose one more game. Two tops.

I hear you, joe but the browns have lost to the jags and the jets just beat the steelers.

It changes from week to week and there's a lot of football left.

We win Thursday and have 10 days to prepare for the broncos. we're not an easy out. we just have to learn how to close in close games.

Yes but right behind the Browns are the Steelers AND the Ravens at 6-4. There are just too many teams fighting for those 2 wild card spots. Like I said, I think we have to go 5-2 at worst to close out the season. We definitely have to beat the Bills and hopefully put up many points on them. (Strength of victory tie breaker).

we need to beat the ravens for that tie breaker.

I agree though. we need to go 10-6.

+1 When the Seahawks brought pressure like that in the Superbowl last year, Manning folded like a cheap card table. Tannehill has learned to (or is being allowed to) use his wheels and keep the play going. Honestly, even without the running game, if we could get better in the red zone, we win going away yesterday.

C'mon, dolphin. You know better than that. Of course we want our team to win.

Some of us have been with the Fins forever. We have been thru both the highs and lows. Over the last 10+ years, we have been in the lows. We have seen some pretty bad football being played by our guys.

Because we are in the lows, we want to see our guys play well, win or lose. This, in turn, will finally lead to victories instead of these (stupid) last minute losses.

Have to learn to walk before they can run, dolphin.

Besides, the majority of us on this board see things positive, where you, until recently, just hammered away at our QB, who, by the way, is playing some good ball.

Anyway, GO FINS!

Treasure, I am in RT's corner, but elite?

I don't think he will ever be an elite QB, but I can say he could be a very good QB, one that will be in the league for a long time.

Miami has, at most positions, solid players, and they also have good depth. However, there are a few holes that must be filled before they can be declared anything but a good team.

While filling those holes, depending on how long that will take, Hickey must also consider the guys that are close to the end and having to replace them.

Gonna be tough, but so far, and I repeat, so far, Hickey "looks" like he can handle the job.

Yep, three FGs instead of 3 TDs. Not championship football.

There was one critical 3rd down toward the end of the game. It really made me cringe as soon as it left RT's hand. Instead of going for a short to mid range pass and pick up the first down, he went deep and of course it was incomplete. Punt....bad decision by either play call or RT. You can take deep shots but not on critical 3rd downs when you need to burn time off the clock. maybe there was nobody open (which was common all day) but I would rather see him pull it down and run or dump it off.

Our receivers are not getting open much.

There were also too many players running out of bounds when there was around 5-6 minutes left. Should have been different since we had the lead.
