You know what!? Let Hickey pick the next coach. He has been on the money so far. But Joe needs to be gone. Don't wait until next year either. Should have sent him on the same plane back with Greenbay.........

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

LOL. That was pretty good, JSM08. Keep that up and I'll begin to like you.

Okay. My mention of Sparano was only to say that Philbin is just as bad on the reckless side as he, Sparano, was bad on the conservative side.

Then others, who more slant to your point of view, started talking about how bad Sparano was and basically saying that they did not want to go back there. That's the history of Sparano on this thread.

Of course, we're all Pro Phins and no one likes to change coaches as often as changing toilet paper (which is every time) but you can't keep holding on to coaches hoping that the first three years of bad performance will turn into a fourth and thereafter good year.

The only sensible thing is to get rid of them when you see clear signs that they are not up to the job. If we did it to Wanny, Spanny and Cam, what makes you think sticking with Philbin will show any difference.

If you keep finding out your tailor is bad, you have to keep finding new tailors. Otherwise you'll always look like sh*t.

Who's the next coach?

The question should be: Who the hell would want to be the coach for this team?

Why the hell not? All the pieces are there. Some great talent . With the right coaching staff we are in the Playoffs.......guaranteed. A few more tweaks , and who knows? I think Hickey was outstanding in his first draft. Lets see if he can evaluate coaching staff next. thumbs upsmileys with beer

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Joedontgetit

He saw and said things just because he was right, and you couldnt figure it out does not mean he was wrong.

Same way I feel about Tanney, he is just not consistant from one half to another.

Philpin has had time to quit making stupid mistakes, he has always misused his timeouts

I would rather have Sparano than Philbin. I'm not suggesting that they hire Tony, but IMO Sparano with a decent OC and Hickey would be a major improvement over Philbin.

I was not opposed to Sparano, HOWEVER, I would want someone else calling all the offensive plays.

Eggggcactly!!!! Gotta love these guys that are chicken littles about EVERY move the Dolphins make, then they come back and pound their chests' saying "see, I told you so" when one of their many negative comments actually come to fruition.

Based on the teams recent history, you can be negative about ANYTHING and have it come to fruition.

This is where you are wrong. No one likes bitching about the Dolphins. We just have zero tolerance for continued shit results every year. Also you should not call people chicken littles. I highly doubt you can back up your hurtful words in the real world so stop acting like your Gods gift.

Some people are just pissy and negative no matter what. If we make the tackle in bounds on the fake spike play, or if the defense gets to Rodgers for a sack, or if the last pass is batted down or defended by Wheeler, thereby winning the game for us. The use of the timeouts is looked upon as a genious move by Philbin because it allowed our defense get a few additional seconds of rest.

As it was we didn't have that happen, so the move just had to be boneheaded.

Can't make SOME people happy no matter what...if you are looking for only the negative, you will find it.

There is merit either way, but some take it to extremes.

Except for being negative all of the time and not seeing the positives this team and the coaches display is myopic, short-sighted and just annoying.

Many including me, point out the negatives but also point out the positives. You and a few others, are so hung up on the bad things that happen that there is no positive.

Fans that do that are never happy, and this team will never get better or get where we all want it to be as long as the team blows everything up every two or three seasons.

It takes time to implement a new system, philosophy, plays, terminology, add and/or replace players, and to have all of that gell into a cohesive and effective unit...much more often than not, takes more than five games. Just saying.

Just a suggestion, take it or don't. Try being just a bit more balanced in your views.

No i do not focus on the negatives. I'm always saying how much talent out team has. I have three issues In this order. Philben, Coyle and Tannehill. Upgrade my three negatives and suddenly you have a contender. I love Dennis Hickey so far! I love a lot of out players. I hate the new logo. I'm not to fond of the all white uni's either. I also hate our HC DC and I don't hate Ryan I just do not think he has the "it" required to CONSISTENTLY play good QB.

"Keeping on the Sunny side" is all fine and well but in going on 13 YEARS we have been to the playoffs ONCE! We've HAVEN'T HAD a winning season in going on SIX YEARS NOW! This once great organization has fallen into disrepair. We are approaching Lions of the 1970's or Cardnials of the 1980's territory. We don't need TWEAKS. We need somebody to light a fire under the collective A$$es of this organization.

Winning is the name of the game and winning makes people happy.

Obviously Ken and his followers are OK with not winning.

I'm not ok with the team losing, you play the game to win.

Ken is one of those guys that would still be stuck back in the 1800's..... why are you using a caculator, this here slide board works is just fine.... a computer !!! I got my slide board man! Why you people always want something better this here thing is fine!

It been a while since recently, Ken and KB, by coincidence, have posted. In the past I usually agreed with Ken more than KB, not that their posts had any relationship to each other.

To me, it boils down to the naturally conservative (not talking politics but talking human reaction) and the naturally aggressive.

Joe Philbin is in his third year. If one looks above (or somewhere on this site), Joe Philbin says something astounding like "I called the time out to give our guys a few seconds to prepare for Aaron Rodgers"......

....totally ignoring the fact that those same few seconds gave Aaron Rodgers time to win the game, instead of THE SAME CLOCK BEING RUN OUT! Rodgers scored with 6 seconds left on the clock.

After a timeout, the clock is only started when the ball is snapped to my memory. To me there is no doubt that those numerous timeouts were FAR MORE THAN six seconds of time. If you win the game, you don't give a damn if your defense is prepared.

The only argument against that could be that Rodgers would have got it all in one play HAD HE NOT CALLED TIMEOUTS TO ADVISE OUR PLAYERS.

But if you look at it from a time game-win standpoint. I'll ask you, Ken, JSM08, and that one other unmentionable person above, "So wouldn't it have been better for us, if Rodgers was to score, for him to score quicker and leave us with 1 minute on the clock instead of only THE THREE SECONDS RODGERS ACTUALLY LEFT US" (not saying Rodgers strung it out but just saying that's how it ended up).
