In a show of faith, I'm picking up Miami's D off the waiver wire in my FFL.
I urge you all to do the same!

For the truly inspired, pick the Phins in this week's knock-out pool!!

This will be closer then expected. The Pats lost a Probowl Line man and Wake & co. is primed for a killer season.........

Our pass rush will upset the princess.

I'd like to see them smash Brady's pompadour/Bieber haircut into the turf

Last time Mike Wallace faced Darrell Revis (2013), he had 4 receptions on 7 targets for 15 yards.

Last time he faced the Pats, he had 6/105/1.

Last time Charles Clay faced the Pats he had 1 rec on 2 targets for 6 yards. Time before that he had 5/37 yards.

The Pats defense had 4 sacks and 10 hurries in the last game. We didn't have Branden Albert but the also didn't have Vince Wilfork. Could be a long day for Samson Satele. He will need help from Colledge and Smith.

Hard to speculate here about predictions. We are facing the most arrogant organization of the NFL. Bar none. Kraft and GQ pretty boy no doubt have a consort with the network that needs no introduction. Not a single word about our team. All is about a Polish TE(Ron Jaworski should be ecstatic) and a midget amphetamine user that no longer works for them. I will have to wait around 4:45 pm next Sunday to say something.

Why would anyone want to talk about Miami vs the Pats? What has Miami done to warrant anything?

The Pats are in the running every year for the Super Bowl. They have a solid team; even when they don't have a solid team, they still find a way to win. Can Miami even come close to that? Nope! If NE is arrogant, they have a right to be; they've earned it.

When Miami starts winning again, and starts competing for the division, then Miami will be talked about. Until then...

My main concern is how well the O-line will perform against a playoff team like NE. If they can be solid, minimizing the rush against Tannehill, we have a good chance of "whompin 'em." Go Fins!

I was surprised Marshall Faulk selected us to be a playoff team. I sure hope he's right. thumbs up

I can't wait until Brady finally starts to falter and break down. His team no longer supporting him. Will he just quit or fight and have to be dragged out of the game? I guess he will do whatever his wife tells him to do.......

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

As much as I dislike wheeler he did get to the QB a lot in the preseason. With Mankins gone the interior of their line is in flux.

If Wheeler can get pressure up the middle the feminine one will cower and throw it away.

I'm excited about our new offense No more Dan Hennings. No more Mike Sherman. We're finally entering the 21st century on the offensive side of the ball and I think it will be fun to watch.

I really think we're going to lay a beatdown on NE much like the wildcat game. Their d will be dead by mid 3rd qtr.

Phins 37
Pats 21

If there is a saving grace, it's that Wheeler has been been moved (demoted) to SLB. It's the main position he played throughout his career and where he had his best year which was in Oakland (in 2012). The SLB has typically come of the field on passing downs. His snaps should be cut in half this year. Misi had 480 snaps to Wheeler's 1050 last year as the SLB.

As most of us know, this defense is based off Mike Zimmer's defense. At the very least, it is a form of that defense the was run in Cincy and now Minnesota. Characteristics are....

3 technique disruptive DT (Geno Akins - Sharrif Floyd)
1 technique or 4-3 NT (Domato Peko - Linval Joseph)

The weakside LB is the guy. He's the one who is supposed to run sideline to sideline and make plays. That's how Vontaze Burfict has made a name for himself in Cincy. (The bad news is that we have Ellerbe in that spot). This spot is usually the leading tackler, just like Wheeler was last year. (It's the spot Keith Rivers was drafted to fill).

I believe Coyle is transitioning away from the prototype and going to a more disruptive DT duo. Instead of one penetrating DT and one multiple blocker occupying DT/NT, we are now featuring two penetrating DT's or (2) three-techniques. From Soliai to Mitchell. Earl Mitchell is not the big bodied space eater.

With teams running nickle packages 75% of the time, I wonder who our nickle LB's will end up being. Last year it was Ellerbe and Jenkins. They have been trying out Tripp and McCain in practice. Trip is out this week so we may not get a true look.

What does that even mean? They already ruled Tripp and Fede as OUT.

Wheeler may not even play on Sunday. Cast on his right hand. You cannot tell me that a healthy Trusnik or Jenkins is not better than a one armed Wheeler.
