New England Patriots:

1-10 Jerod Mayo: It is pretty hard to screw up a top 10 pick. He is a future Pro Bowler.

2-62 Terrence Wheatley: 5'9 178 lb CB: 2 tackles thru November, placed in IR.

3-78 Shawn Crable OLB: Inactive first 8 games, placed on IR

4-129 Jonathon Wilhite CB, 28 tackles, 1 int

5-153 Matt Slater, WR: (son of Jackie Slater) No receptions, mainly ST player.

6-197 Bo Ruud OLB: (brother of Barret) No stats. Place on IR in September.

WOW! what a bust. Lets hope BB continues the trend! They drafted two CB's that had so much potential they had to sign two big name free agents this off season. They drafted two LBer's that amounted to SQUAT.

They hit a homerun on Mayo but the rest look like bad picks now.
We hit on more than a few picks.

1. Long - Very good, mountain at LT
2. Merling - Very promissing future, showed power collapsing the pocket
2b. Henne - could be the Superbowl QB we need
3. Langford - Looks very srong against run
6. D. Thomas- Earned a starting spot with his power run blocking

Some of the other picks may emerge as well or Bust out of the league. 4 out of 9 picks contributing their rookie year to win the AFC EAST TITLE is pretty sweet!

A rockin' stat. Any team that low rookie starts and a poor record is in serious decline. Do you hear that Cleveland, Jax, Chicago SF, and Oakland? I pick those four teams to be at the bottom of their division this year.

Meanwhile, teams with many rookie starts and good records have nowhere to go but up. That would be the Phins!

We should have had 15 more if Donald THomas wouldnt have went down in the first game as well.

Good point, that would put us at number 1. I would say it is a good indication of the direction your team is headed.

Especially if the team was successful with a high number of rookie starts,
