They are only defined by their sexuality by people who fear their sexuality, people who would deny them the same rights they themselves enjoy in this country and cloak that denial in free speech or "faith".
This really is a non issue. Everyone knew he was gay before yesterday. He was enjoying the biggest moment of his life with the people he loved. You knew the score. You didn't have to watch. I didn't, and I have zero issues with how he lives his life. Yet you did. Why is that?

It was on every single sports center, outside the lines, today show ,and every other channel on tv.. If you missed it you must have had your TV shut off.. Because I fished in a tournament all day yesterday, and in the few waking hours i have been home I have seen it 12 times... Why? Because that is what he and the gay mafia wanted...

I have zero interest in the subject. Its fluff news. You knew they were going to cover the story at the draft by the way it was hyped 3 months ago.
It would have been a serious discussion if he hadn't been drafted. But he was so its over. He'll either be able to play or he won't. For me he's just another 7th rounder who has an uphill battle to make the team and its not even my team. I'm not wasting much time following his career.
I give him credit for being the first player to have the guts to go public about being gay. That took courage.
I give him credit for not hitting the talk show circuit and trying to cash in on his situation. Maybe he will down the road if the football thing doesn't pan out, but he didn't make this draft about him, and he could have.
Truth- I missed what happened in the draft yesterday because i was out fishing... When I got home I couldn't wait to find out what our team did and what happened in the draft... And guess what I got every 5 minutes waiting for actual football stories was over the top imagery about sexuality instead of sports... I don't watch sports for that... But I got it anyway, that is what is sad and sucks...

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
"Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe."

"all our knowledge has its origins in our perceptions.."
"The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."
"You can't know, you can only believe - or not".
"All knowledge that is about human society, and not about the natural world, is historical knowledge, and therefore rests upon judgment and interpretation. This is not to say that facts or data are nonexistent, but that facts get their importance from what is made of them in interpretation… for interpretations depend very much on who the interpreter is..."

How many 7th round picks were shown kissing their girlfriends or wives after they were picked? Let me answer that none of them those damn straight fellows are boring for the so called new NFL. It's a crying shame that I now live in a country where the majority is oppressed by the minority. Michael Sam won't make it in the league the pressure will be too much, and frankly good riddance too him and his boyfriend yikes.
I don't hate Michael Sam. He made his own bed when he came out before the draft. As for me being in the minority with my views you are sadly mistaken. Being gay will never be truly accepted. Just like being fat or ugly or stupid. This is the way the world works. The world we live in always makes us either fit in or not sadly. Sam placed the spotlight squarely upon himself now he has too deal with the criticism.

That's quite possible. I mean if I liked to bang 600 pound chicks, or midget circus freaks with 4 inch ear gauges its not something I'd brag about . Whoever you are sexually attracted to is really no ones business. Why did he come out? What was the purpose? Sex and religion. If people just kept it to themselves the whole world would be so much better off.
That said , it still took balls to kiss a dude on draft day. I admire his courage for whatever the reason.

We had this discussion months ago.
He didn't come out for the publicity.
He came out to his teammates in August before the season. He made a public statement about it in February because it was going to be common knowledge as teams investigated him for the draft.

Based on what? Sams measurables are horrible. Just bc u are d player of year does not make u a high draft pick. Jackson Jeffcoat was that as a d lineman at Texas this year and didn't get drafted.

Yeah I'm sick of America these days. Don jones is not wrong for what he said. I do not like how America is with gay. Too me it is a sexual thing that people want to talk and brag about . You don't see me bragging about how I love woman and vaginas. I applaud don jones for his stance. He is right I don't need to see that shit. Keep your pervertedness behind close doors and stop flaunting.
