First of all. There is only one way to PROVE you can be an NFL player and that is to play in the NFL. Neither has done that.

What exactly are sthose stats supposed to prove? That Stafford is better?

Pat White might be a steal but it won't be until the 4th round.

I was thinking the same thing. How do Stafford's superior stats prove he is the inferior player? geez--I am starting to think the OP is the same guy who go banned for all of those ridiculous pat white posts.

Pat White is another attempt that the NFL is trying to make that says athletic run 1st guys can make it at the pro level. Unless a team plans on running the wish bone then how could he function in an NFL pro style passing game. Vince Young was bigger, and could throw the ball much better but now sits behind Kerry Collins. Pat White will never play quarterback in the leauge if he does then it's in the wildcat formation only. I think he can play wide receiver / wildcat quarterback but not much else. Any one who thinks you can win in the NFL with a run 1st quarterback clearly has never watched Tom Brady or Peyton Manning play the position. This only my opinion however I am tired of all of the Pat White talk because it is getting ridiculous.

pat white wont be as good a passer because he runs first just like the rest of the black qb's except mcnabb, now he can be a very affective scheme player which in a offense such as the wildcat he could flourish, if he isnt overpaid. would i think he be a great fit for this team YEAH, cause he can also play reciver, and qb and with chad around he could become a decent qb to back up henne and or beck. so yeah i think he could do wonders on special teams and wildcat.

I wouldn't generalize on black QB's like that. There's a stigma there where most of them have come from wishbone or other run-first offenses in college, so they didn't develop their passing skills as much as other QBs. Still, there have been and are other black QBs that are good passers (not run-first QBs). Here are a few:

Warren Moon
Doug Williams
Daunte Culpepper (when he had Randy Moss)
David Garrard

all im saying is about 70 percent of the run first qb's are not solid passers when game is on the line, but whatever, can they help it there fast and athletic enough to run no but it is what it is and i dont have a prob stating the obvious. and about 90 percent of run first qb's that start are black, but whatever not a big issue with me. just trying to get how i feel about run first qb's, and david garrard had one solid year playing. Culpeper was only solid because of two solid recievers one being one of the best in the world. and didnt do a DAMN thing after he left minnasota except get picked and sacked alot.

these qb's in past ten years of being drafed,anthony wright failed,seneca wallace failed,troy smith failed,brad smith failed,dj shockly failed,darrell hackney failed,bryan leftwich failed,quinn grey failed,shayne boyd failed,charlie batch failed, quincy carter failed,cleo lemon failed, jason campbell failing, david garrard, failing, cordell stewart failed, vince young failing, tavarious jackson failing, jamarcus russel failed, michael vick personal issues failed, daunte culpepper had great offense, when put on mediocre teams? failed. pat white if he started qb he would fail. due to size, and lack of amount of passing, and pocket play. all im saying is everyone is riding the athletic qb train and where has it led the coaches? or teams, culpepper was only real sucsesful one, now mcnabb and moon and mcnair, and doug williams were great qb's because thats how they where taught. now enough of the stupid thing on race im done stating the obvious and i dont want to keep offending: although i dont see it affending? but whatever scince it was brought up i typed it and now its out there and i hope we can burry it or talk about it whatever lets talk more miami talk!!!

There are more talented players throughout the entire draft. He'd be a gimmic for the wildcat and maybe for return team, till he took a hit and went down.
