This team's gonna suck for a while because of the garbage players/ and coaches that Ireland stuck us with over the last few years.

After watching 3 weeks of playoff caliber teams, the phins are light years behind anything resembling a playoff team.

Not a glimpse of light at the end of any tunnel. Sigh...

"There are some people in the Dolphins front office who see the deficiencies in Philbin and this staff, but Ross believes Philbin is part of the solution."

These people in the front office . How long have they worked for the Dolphins and how many championships have they won ?

probably about as long as Ross, with as many SB wins

I have no particular allegiance to Philbin, but to the players who claim to have had a problem with the coaching staff, I'd ask who was on the field when they got punked by two inferior teams with the playoffs on the line? Maybe instead of making excuses and pointing fingers, they'd be better served working on stopping the run and pass blocking. It shouldn't have taken a lot of ingenious coaching to beat either the bills or the jets (not to mention Tampa Bay earlier in the season).

No one is blameless...not the ballboys all the way up to the owner. They all have work to do...

But many of out losses this year are mostly on the players for not getting it done on the field when they had the chance.

Even with Sherman's vanilla and conservative playcalls and with the other gaffes the staff suffered. The players are the one's that have to get it done.

Our leaders, Tannehill, Wake, Starks, Soliai, Pouncey, Ellerbe, Hartline, Wallace, Wheeler, etc...simply failed to make more plays at critical junctures when the team needed them to.

They should learn from this...

Well, we did beat the Chargers, Bengals, and Pats (split). All playoff teams

And 4 of our other five losses, were by 2 points, 10 points, 3 points, and 4 points.

Only blown out by Saints.

They get cancelled out by our wins which were also only by a couple of points for the most part. The only real blow-outs that we had were the 23-10 against the Davon Bess led Browns and the 23-3 fluke against the team that later knocked us out of the play-offs.

I find these reports, being dredged up by a restless media, to be unreliable. Who is complaining? Players or their agents? Too many players didn't get the job done this year. They need to look in the mirror before complaining.

Ellerbe and Wheeler? I don't see leaders. I see two guys who got paid and took the year off.

RE: Maybe so, but on such a young team they are veterans, and as such, leaders. Like it or not.

NOBODY follows guys that don't perform. You lead by example, no just bc you are older.
