Really after watching our improved line backers good riddance.

We regressed in every phase since last year did we not? Have fun

screwing up another teams defense George. I think his replacement

should be Zach Thomas does he not want to coach? Got it done with

heart, guts, and drive.

They will probably just promote David Corrao who is the Assistant Linebackers coach.

Good coach, well respected by pro and college coaches. This is a loss for Dolphins, but happy for Edwards.

Dansby and Burnett had very good years under George Edwards. Ellerbe and Wheeler did not. That tells me it is the LB'ers and NOT so much the coach.

actually, Dansby was a great player every year except the years he played for us. Whatever Edwards' merits I don't credit him for Dansby's play. Burnett was no great shakes here either

Hmmmmm, our linebacker coach is hired by someone else as a defensive coordinator?.....As poor as we were against the runs and as many running backs I remember carrying our linebackers on their backs for several yards.....hahahaha.....I wonder if that where the name come from...instead of meaning "in back of the line", they are called line backers because once the running back get pass the defensive linemen, the lineBACKERS hitch a ride on the running back's BACK. LOL.

Definitely, I agree. I can understand why Marino never went into coaching, I can see the same about Griese. Even though both QBs have forgotten about football more than most others will ever learn, I just couldn't see them dealing with the whole coaching situation and atmosphere.

But with Zach, YES he TOTALLY fits in as a coach. He was practically coaching the defense as a player..he has the fire, he has the influence, he would have the players' respect and would definitely take control of the locker room, sideline, the whole enchilada. SIGN HIM UP NOW!

Coyle is a decent secondary coach, but he isn't doing very well as a DC.

Teams don't demote coaches. You either fire them or keep them. It's probably in the contract and why pay a LB, DC money?

Coyle's background is a DB coach.

The defense only weak point is LB'er vs the run. You shouldn't have to teach that to vet LB'ers.
