Just read where he is a west coast guy. Also said he wanted to work with Philbin. "I'm in it with Philbin."

Eagles offense had the league leader in rushing and QB with the highest passer rating in the NFL for the season.. How much of that was because of Lazor, not sure.... But it is better then a guy who isn't coming off that type of season with his offense..
Also I like that the guy was a QB coach, IMO we want a guy that is focused on the success and development of the QB... Especially with Tannehill getting his first new offensive coach since high school, 6 years or so...

The Eagles had the 2nd highest scoring offense in the league this season (442 points, 3 points behind the Bears).

Once Foles became the starting QB this season, they had games where they scored 31, 49, 34, 30 and 54 points, amoung other things. Foles finished the season with the 3rd highest passer rating in NFL history, behind only Aaron Rodgers (2011) and Peyton Manning (2004).

As you noted though, how much of that was due to Lazor is hard to say. I think it's worth noting though that in 2012 (before Lazor joined the Eagles) Foles started 6 games (played in 7) and had a 79.1 passer rating. This year it was 119.2 I think at least some of that is due to the QB coach.

Okay. Position is filled. We watch and see how things transpire. We all need to be hopeful this will translate into something very positive.

Never heard of Lazor but did know that Foles had a surprisingly great season.

I also hope that had a lot to do with Lazor and that he can transfer those kind of results to us..here's hoping.

When Lazor was asked what "system" he'll use for Miami's offense, his reply was “The No. 1 factor in how we do it and specifically how it looks is going to be the ability of the players we have.”

I like his thinking already. Hopefully he will hold true to this and not be committed to a "system" regardless of talent like Mike Sherman was.

Goddamn that's what KILLED me about Tony Sprano. He was intent on trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole. He was so suborn. But taking what you got , identifying their strength's and weaknesses and designed around that IS the way to go. We are on the right track I can feel it.
