1. Brady didn't play until his second year. He didn't play his eighth. So that six years instead of 5, Sue me.

2. He was injured in the Super Bowl. The injury in Sept. is related.

3. You went through a lot of effort for no good reason. Did my 11-5 prediction really bother you that much?

4. Putting everything you say in bold doesn't make it right. But it is a window into your ego.

5. I've been visiting this site since the mid-90s, probably before you realized the internets tubes existed. Not bad for a moron, eh?

For what it's worth (that is to say, it isn't worth anything, but...) a few local sportscasters here in New England are up in arms about this.

They think the Pats should have gotten more in the trade, and are floating conspiracy theories that BB is helping out his buddy Pioli by giving him a sweetheart deal.

Then of course there's the big worry that Brady won't be ready, or won't be the same when he comes back.

We can only hope that this fear and lack of confidence has made its way to the locker room

There was rumor/speculation that Brady was dealing with an injured ankle during the SUper Bowl. That was entirely unrelated to the knee injury he suffered in week one of 2008.

Sorry, put this on another thread but wanted to add it here too.

What's the COMBINED CAP money KC absorbed with both Cassel & Vrabel ???

While the 2nd rounder does seem light "payment" from KC but maybe the Patsies needed to move BOTH to lower their cap space and KC was the only place that could work.

Vrable is old. If he even makes the team I would be shocked. They can still cut him and save cap space.

Cassell is the real deal. KC needed a QB. They got one.

NE had 3 picks in rounds 1 and 2. Now they have 4. Even with 3 picks, they need to clear cap space. But with 4 picks, NE will either MOVE UP in the draft or just trade one away to stockpile picks for next year

Really? I'm not so sure. I think he'll flop in KC.

Can somebody say Scott Mitchell?

Scott Mitchell, as bad as he turned out to be in the end, also had the best season ever by a Detroit Lion QB. He threw for 4,338 yards, 32 TD's and 12 Int's. How many QB's have EVER done that?

Mitchell wasn't that bad. Of course, he looked a LOT better behind our monster O-Line than in Detroit, but I think he was solid (and, as eesti pointed out, he DID have at least ONE good hear for the Lions).

He has a lot of weapons in KC. If they can get that o-line in shape that will be a very scary offense

Yeah but he ended on a real bad note.
