Forget Harrison...how about Surtain?

His numbers are still pretty good at his age even though he had a down year in 08 due to injury.

Could be had for short money and is an upgrade over Goodman? He always was a physical, sound tackler.

What do ya think?

For the right price! I'm good with that as well.

i like the idea that someone suggested (dont know who) that often times you can convert an older CB into a FS. No doubt that surtain has ball skills and I know that we can find a place for him.

One of my all-time favorite Dolphins, so, sentimentally, I'm all for it.

I think his tackling and ball skills would make him a good slot CB (think Terrell Buckley) or safety. He's a tad small for the S position.

he's 5'11 195 so he is pretty thick. Renaldo Hill is smaller than Pat. He is only 5'11 190. PS is plenty big enough for a FS. Could maybe even be a Pro Bowl FS and nickel back or maybe a starting CB.

Roght price he may still have enough in the tank to help out and be an upgrade. Good instincts, always a good hitter, may have lost a step, but could be a deal at the right price.

How about Gibril Wison at SS and Pat Surtain at FS?

Yup. Surtain still has some in him. Surtain is about where Madison was when he signed with the Giants. Maybe a step slower, and probably not a starter, but still talented enough to make an impact in the nickle and be a quality backup. All that with less penalties.

You guys would take him if he had been retired for 10 years and wanted to make a comeback.

Surtain would make a terrific nickelback. I think we will draft a CB high.
