Hurray for the Jets!

For making one of the most bonehead personnel blunders in league history....

Instead of drafting a QB like Flacco, Brohm or Henne in the 07 draft, they pass and go for bench warmer Vernon Gholston and TE Dustin Keller. Any of the above QB's could have been had with their 30th pick.

Then they cut Chad Pennington and sign Brett Favre for what turned out to be a one year deal. Had CP played in NY like he did in Miami and they would have been a shoe-in for a playoff spot. Did they really think they were going to win the SuperBowl with Favre in his first year?

Favre has retired and now they have no QB and will have to spend a high pick on one this year or go with a 2nd tier free agent.

Possible free agent QB's they could sign are...

Chris Simms
Jeff Garcia
Charlie Batch
Kyle Boller
Rex Grossman
Patrick Ramsey

ha haaa, yeah and what i love is this will be one of the weakest qb drafts in some time. I really dont believe that their is a franchise guy in this class, maybe sanchez or davis but I think they will need alot of grooming and team help... I think stafford has a huge arm but I question his experience, accuracy and decision making. The jury is out.

Brett Favre is the best thing that happened to the Dolphins last year.

Mike Tannenbaum's poor judgement was the best thing to happen to the Dolphins.

I don't know why Gholston hasn't performed. He looked like a keeper before the draft. He still may be. From what I recall the guy played pretty well against us in games.

13 tackles for the season.

1 tackle against Miami. This is "playing pretty well" ???

He was touted as boom or bust type of player....looks like a bust as of now...it is still early though. LB and RB are the easiest transitions for college players....not a good sign for him.
