Out for the season with torn ACL suffered while trying to not have his body weight come down on Carr...this sucks because we are not as good up front without him.

Should have just smashed him...

Charles Harris will replace him...time for the kid to grow up, fast.

Guys, I have worked as an Athletic Trainer for 30 years and am all for rules that make the game safer. This new QB rule is just stupid and is now responsible for an injury to a defensive player. That sucks because he was doing well this year. I guess we should just put Quarterbacks in a different color uniform and blow the whistle when the defense gets near him like they do in practice. Don't want to make this forum into the QB issue, maybe someone should start that thread. Too bad for Hayes and our defense.

Perhaps the defensive player should pick the QB up and gently place him on the turf... Then give him a little peck on the cheek like he's being tucked in for night night.

Perhaps swaddle him in a comfy blanket on the way down.

We are losing guys left and right...When we finnally have a good team we start losing players to injuries for the season.

Harris has been a big disappointment so far. Plus, Hayes can play inside or out. Harris can't.

Maybe not Sam, but Harris is the replacement. Maybe we bring in somebody like Kendall Langford but Harris is the guy now. Hopefully he doesn't flop.

He has to earn that draft pedigree...now's the time.

I've got it. The QB's uniform must have 12 6" red flags attached to his uniform. On the front: 3 equally spaced above the numbers and 3 spaced equally apart at belt level with one on each hip; on the back side of the jersey: 3 across just above the numbers and 3 equally spaced at the waist.

So, to protect defensive players and the QB, a QB is sacked whenever a defensive player "pulls one of the 12" flags. Tackling the QB is prohibited at all times unless the QB moves (runs or walks) past the line of scrimmage; then the QB is fair game and may be tackled because he has become a runner.

This rule could be implemented in short order and would be easy for all players to comprehend and just as easy for the refs to enforce.

NFL could then add a new statistic to the game. Flags Pulled. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Thank you, thank you? No applause necessary. I have just saved NFL football. smileys with beer

If I remember correctly, the idiotic commentators were saying, the opposite, that he was trying to hurt the QB by putting all his weight on Carr.

I'm thinking we really need to go to Flag Football.

Or, to make use of technology, put sensors inside the uniform that will light up when they are touched by a defender.
