Patriots' Big Oaf Suspended for MNF

This big oaf, Gronkowski, after intentionally crashing down on CB White, slamming his head to the ground after the play was over, is out against the Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

The NFL suspended him for his intentional, over the top behavior. Despite his great ability at TE, this big oaf needs a zoo keeper, instead of a TE coach. CB White is in concussion protocol because of obvious intentional hit. Gronkowski if a first class jerk!

Up until now, I regarded Gronk as almost likable. That says a lot, seeing as I live in Massachusetts and absolutely cannot stand the Patriots and their idiotic fans.

If it weren't for his being prone to injuries, Gronk would have been the one Patriot I'd want to sign with the Dolphins when his contract comes up. But not now. He's a thug.

Till now, I thought Gronk was a likable oaf. Nope, he's just an oaf.

I think the punishment is too light, by the way. When a player intentionally injures someone, as a rule of thumb I believe their suspension should exceed the period that the victim is injured. White is in concussion protocol so he's out a minimum of one game. Gronk should be out for a minimum of two games. But I suppose we should all be happy that he got punished at all. After all, he's on the Patriots.

Which SHOULD be the underlying philosophy of ALL crime and PUNISHMENT.

I read that the meathead is appealing the suspension. My one question is what in the hell is he appealing? He drove his forearm into the back of a defenseless player's head while he was lying face down on the ground. He caused him to sustain a concussion. He could've ended his career. A one game suspension is literally a slap on the wrist. What does he think should have been the punishment-- an all expenses paid trip to Vegas?

No matter what these players do every one of them will appeal their suspensions. I am not sure if this comes from the players union or what (chyren may have better knowledge of this).

I don't ever remember a player being suspended that hadn't tried to appeal or at least say they will and then back out.

From a legal standpoint, it may not do any good to challenge it but it doesn't do any harm and it probably won't hurt your trying to argue to a future potential employer that it was not intentional.

He's appealing the part about the rules applying to the New England Patriots.
