Ross is a dope, don't need to watch the video to know that. Wayne and Joe R never gave interviews with the press and were always behind the scenes. I don't know why Ross is trying to be in the public eye with this stuff. He's clearly not confortable speaking in public and really very bad at it. He should just sign the checks and keep his mouth shut, which is what good owners do.

In Part 1 you also see the awkwardness when Ross is asked about losing Jake Long.. Ross says he is very disappointed, no one is more disappointed then me, I hate to lose a michigan guy....
Mr Ross then puts his head down, and Ireland says how disappointed he is in losing Jake, and blames it on Jake. It seems like Mr Ross wasnt happy Ireland didn't sign his guy... weird again..

It is pretty clear we will have a really hard time getting a top notch GM, if we fire Ireland... Scary.... I sure hope Ireland pulls some rabbits out of his hat, because very few proven GM's would choose to work in the type of situation Ireland works in here in Miami...

Ireland would still be a scout somewhere if not for Parcells, so I can't say I really feel sorry for him for working with BP. Ross, however, I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. What a tool. Stop crying about Michigan already, what are you, 12?

You guys crack me up acting like Ross is the anti-christ, he's not the best owner ever, but he's far from the worst. Also, I remember arguing with people on this board many years ago about Wayne H. being a good owner (can't remember who it was), same argument 5/6 years later.

Ross has stepped up his involvement because he understands that fans want a winner now. he may not know how to run a press conference, and he is doing a crap job of staying in the background...but Ireland's plan was a little to old school and clinical. Who drafted Tannehill? I think it was Ross and not Ireland. THAT is why he did so much talking.

Ireland is learning...and adversity will help him develop. You want Daddy to let you do the job without him lookin over your shoulder? DO YOUR JOB WELL!

Jeff hasn't earned that level of respect yet. Drag for him...but true.

And Ross can't afford to see all of those empty seats, and an aging stadium. So he is doing what he feels he needs to do.

From Ross? A guy with ZERO football background??

Sorry Realist, you are way off base on this one.

Ross didn't pick Tannehill. He wanted Peyton Manning.

Ross might get credit for pointing Ireland in a different direction (more open offense) but he's not making picks.

Ross is a rich guy who owns the team.. He has zero football knowledge.. If you have ever heard Ross talk about football, you would understand how clueless he really is... If Ross was not the rich guy who spent a billion dollars on a team, nobody would listen to anything he has to say about football.. The only thing that lets him get away with running his mouth about like a fool about football is his wealth. Please dont get that confused, that he somehow brought this great insight to the Dolphins...
Ross meets with the press and talks football, because he is someone that loves attention and wants celebrity.. The orange carpet, celebrity owners, those were all Ross ideas and changes...Why u ask? because before he bought the Dolphins, outside the development community, Forbes 500, and banking community, nobody knew who he was... His underling at Related Group, George Perez was much more famous then him...Ross obviously wanted to buy himself celebrity, that his billions had not been able to do... Ross is in it for the wrong reasons, and you see that consistently such as the above posted press conference... Please tell me, during Waynes entire tenure as owner, do you remember him sitting down doing a press conference with his GM, and taking the lead on football questions? Get the F*ck out of here with that nonsense he pulls... The only one that doesnt know what a joke he is making of himself is him... And nobody is going to tell the boss he looks like a fool for fear of their job:ie Ireland... SO he bites his lip, cracks his neck, shuts up and takes it.....ouch....

Amen, Irsay looks very foolish quite often, but Ross is right up there with him. Especially when he does these type of Press conferences and takes the lead on football questions.... A year after drafting Tannehill, he tells the press they have to see the footage of RT playing WR that he watched days before, he was incredible. And suggest Mike Dee show the film to the press corp...lol... He didnt think anybody had seen it.... And somebody is going to tell me Ross wanted Tannehill, get the heck out of here.... He just watched his WR tape a couple days ago.... He is an empty suit when it comes to football...
