I like what I see out of the kid. Very smart with the football, is tough as nails, and has good arm strenght. I think the key component to him is preparation, and watching how Pennington has done it and be successful, only make this young padawan's future ever more bright

I don't know, if Cam Cam liked Henne that much, I am wary

But it does not follow that if a person can SEE talent that he can also COACH it.

If that is true in this case then you have nothing to worry about.

It's not Cam that makes me weary, it's the Ravens front office and their evaluations of QB's. (ha) They have been looking for one longer than Miami and the former staffs...or should I say stiffs.

Not that I don't agree because I have heard it from more than just Peter King. A couple GM's said how they thought the Jets would regret not taking Henne as they should have.

Didn't they also draft Ken O'Brien ahead of Dan Marino? Wonder if they're still kicking themselves over THAT! Or, perhaps, the fake-spike play spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Front office means nothing. It's what the scouts and coaches think. Cam was desperate for Flacco, that's why they moved up in the draft to get him. Flacco is playing great, he's something special with that arm and cool head. Honestly, I think if he wasn't picked, the Dolphins might have picked him if he was available in the second round.

The whole thing makes me sick, actually. I am watching the Ravens/Steeler game right now and so hoping the Ravens lose. So far the Ravens have gotten some good calls from the refs.

Their lack of offense is showing. Flacco is a caretaker on a team that's strong at most other positions. I'm not saying he's bad, but he's still a rookie. His mistakes will lose the game for Baltimore.

We should focus on the lines, defensive secondary & a #1 WR in free agency & the draft. The Ravens won games with an average QB.

We need to look for a late round Steve Slaton to replace Ricky. Javon Ringer would be nice, but will probably go high. Adding Derrick Ward would be nice.

Ringer did not declare

well let us look at some of baltimores notable names at qb

2007 Troy smith
2006 steve mcnair (dont count him cause he was basically retired)
2005 anthony wright
2004 Kyle boller
2003 Chris Redman
2001 Elvis Grbac
2000 Trent Dilfer

I dont know about you but looking at that history list I dont know how much stock I can put in baltimores opinion of qb's. Now if they said something about a defensive player like merlin or langford now I am like- yo we stole a good one if he was up on baltimores board but qb, im like nah. Dont mean anything to me.

The worst part is they won a SB with Dilfer..and then decided they needed to replace him. Not the smartest move.
