He had a part in developing Jordan Gross. You'd think that if the Phins were thinking of going after him and letting Carey go, they would have kept Maser around.

Maybe Maser was putting pressure on Sparano and Ireland to cut Carey and go after Gross. Since Sparano is an ex-O-Line coach, I trust his judgement here. I also expect he's probably very picky about who the O-Line coach is. I'm just hoping he doesn't pull a Cam and decide HE wants to do that job.

That guy would crack me up in the camp footage. The linemen would do a drill and Maser would stick his nose right in the middle of two linemen who were going at it. I used to think it would be annoying to have that little old man in my way while I am doing a blocking drill. Did you guys ever notice that?

Weren't a lot of people upset with the O-line's performance in terms of the running game anyway?

On the one hand, it seems like Hudson Houck did a better job in 2007 with less to work with, and some people think Satele and Carey in particular took a step backwards this year.

Yet, we were also hurt by the fact that there was almost no depth, and that wasn't Maser's fault.

He was fired by Parcels and went to Dallas.

Why would they fire him last year and then re-hire him this year? Not going to happen...besides they just hired Dave DeGuglielmo.
