What a difference a year makes. Thanks to the NFC's badest birds, the CARDS and EAGLES, the DOLPHINS will now choose 25th in the DRAFT. YIPPEEE. Thats one more 1st rounder still on the board.
Who do you like with the 25th pick?

Wow, Im lovin these suggestions... are you sure that cody is not coming out, thats sucks cause I would snatch him in a heart beat. I like mack as well, i am a huge hurricane fan (naturally) and in the bowl game against cal he would make blocks at the point of attack and then get to the next level. He would be a huge upgrade when it comes to running. I cant speak for his pass blocking but run blockin, thats my man. Anyone have thoughts on matt unger out of oregon??? I didnt watch him much...

Not sure about OL at this point. I really think our top needs are WR, ILB, and Safety. I'm hoping we upgrade Safety with a FA, because it usually takes 2-3 years for a draft pick to thrive at that position. There aren't any good WR's available as FA's, so I wouldn't mind seeing us take someone in the first round. We should be able to get a good ILB with one of our 2nd-round picks.

Yea we need a WR but you know what? We don't need to draft one in the first or second round. Reserve that for the above.
We really NEED to improve our running game. We were ok but ok doesn't get it if you want to progress in the playoffs. The passing game will improve greatly with rythum in the running game. That holds up through out the NFL and time. I don't care if they put 8 in the box, you've got to be able to get push and pick up 4+ yards when you need it and protect the QB. That will always improve the passing game.
I think Bill will bring in a receiver but I don't think it will be in the first two rounds.

We got 3 guys that can be decent #2's (Ginn, Bess, Camarillo). We got another one that rode the pine all year (Wilford). Why would we bring in another one? We need a #1 WR, and those rarely come after the 2nd round.
25th absolutely sucks. Our record is better than our team. We needed another strong draft. Remember when we were dreaming about Crabtree or Maualuga?
Russ Lande thinks ILB James Laurinaitis will be there at 25 and that he would be a good fit for our defense. I don't know, we need so many positions. I would go for an O lineman first, unless an absolute stud somewhere else falls to us.
I think its good to not have to spend a ton of money on a top 5 pick, spend it on a FREE AGENT instead- someone who will start. 25 isn't that bad and the redskins 2nd rounder is a potential bargaining chip to move up- if needbe.
There are a couple terrific players who could fall to our choice at 25.... Laurenitis, RAJI, or WILLIAM MOORE. One of them will be there, and each fills a need.
HERMAN JOHNSON is a monster G. There's a good chance of landing him with the 2A pick.
I'd take a WR with the first pick...but it would have to be someone with size. Say 200-215, 6'0"+ and that runs a 4.4/40 or lower and with obviously great hands. This person would also have to be very moldable and willing to work his butt off on conditioning and route running (no matter how good he may be coming out of school) before, during and after camp.
If there are none of those players left when we pick...then OL, DL, LB, CB and S (in that order) become my picks of choice.
Much, as you'll all agree depends on who is taken before we pick.

You want Jerry Rice. Gee...I'd take that too!
Moving up my mock draft board is HERM. Why 3 DBs, cuz its a need. Pat's pick might be whack outta the wildcat.
1- 25 HERMAN JOHNSON G LSU
2A-45 SEAN SMITH FS UTAH
2B-57 VICTOR HARRIS CB VT
3- 89 DARRY BECKWITH ILB LSU
4- 121 PAT WHITE WR WV
5- 153 COYE FRANCIES CB SJS
7- 185 GREG CARR WR FSU
