I have faith Parcells will find us one in this draft, his under study Sean Payton found Marques Colston in the 7th round. We can do the same.

The constant talk about Boldin reminds of all the talk about trading with Dallas last year for the #1 pick, virtually impossible last year and highly improbable this year!

To go one step further, I think our own Greg Camarillo is very comparable to Housh. If you extrapolate his stats for this year, he'd have had 80 catches for 892 yards and 3 TD. The Bengals throw to their WR in the end zone a lot more than we do, so it stands to reason that TJ would have more TDs in his better years. Their size is very similar. Greg's 5 years younger.

Now, is that a reflection of the makeup of the offense and the team's offensive approach? Or, would we throw more in the end zone if we had a receiver of TJ's abilities. I personally think it's more about how each team approaches offense than the fact that we don't have a TJ on the team. If we had a Moss or a T.O.,then I think there's an argument about the player making the offensive approach different. But with Housh, I'm not sure.

Disclaimer - the Bengals are one of the teams I watch the least, so this is purely looking at stats to measure performance/value.

Greg Camarillo runs a 4.6 40 and TJ ran a 4.38 for the Bengals when they tried him out. They may be similar in size but that's about it.

I think TJ would play Split End as he does in Cincy and Ginn will continue as Flanker. I am not sure if Ginn still plays that position now or not but I think he does and he did play it at Ohio State. It gives him a better chance to avoid the jam at the line.

This would allow Camarillo and/or Bess to play in the slot.

So he could still be a "number 2", so to speak but would still have the ability to draw attention from Ginn.

So, TJ is not technically a #1 but is actually more of a possession receiver that can also stretch the field with yac and big plays.

I believe Irvin played Split End so TJ would be our "Irvin" with Ginn being our "Harper" at flanker.

So as with Dallas, Irvin was the possession guy/endzone guy as well as the "playmaker" and Harper was the deep threat.

or maybe Irvin played Flanker...either way I think it would work. Some teams don't even use this terminolgy any more...like Mike Martz who wants all of his WR's to know all WR positions so he can create mismatches. I know historically, the Flanker was a better blocker because he was on the strong or running side....but not necessarily in today's game.

It also makes me realize that the Cowboys of that era had a TON of talent to work with on offense. Three hall of famers (if you believe Emmitt will make it in) at their three skill positions. A truly dominant OL. Top-tier FB and TE... Jeez, that's pretty much every position on offense.

Why would we want to give a couple of round choices for boldin. Isn't boldin close to his 30s already?

We are ok here.

Great punter, rookie kicker with potential. I think missed 2 field goal attempts the entire season.

Need a couple of free agents to bolster the special teams coverages.

We also need an ILB. Crowder may be gone, and Ayodele is only a stop-gap. I'd like to see us:

1. Re-sign Crowder
2. draft a stud ILB
3. Move Ayodele to 2nd string (for depth)
4. Move Crowder into Ayodele's position
5. Cut Torbor

Torbor is a bust. The game hes started in place of crowder, i believe he had 1 tackle thats it.

he is an overpaid backup. I hope we do better with free agents this year.
