this guy does what the great RBs have always been able to do right away. always move forward, slip through small spaces and break away. We haven't drafted a guy like that I think ever.

Of course we have- just not lately. Merc was like that, as was Tony Nathan, Terry Kirby, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and a couple of other guys. We just needed one now.

no way. karim abdul jabbar was the least shifty back ever. terry kirby was always injured and even at his best wasn't nifty like that. tony nathan was more receiver than runner.

Bush is showing what a great RB can do. Miller looked good but not great yet.

Yeah, berk, we're not ready to get rid of Bush just yet but we also should hold on to Lamar as the future.

I'm especially stoked that this kid is homegrown from Miami. And the buggah is fast!

Great Pick up in the draft. That was a serious Value Pick!

I hope we keep both.
I was very happy when we picked up Lamar Miller after he fell in the draft.
Get rid of Daniel Thomas after this year.

I was thrilled with the play of Miller. Holy crap, he knows how to run the ball and has GREAT vision.

Move Thomas to 3rd now. He does not have the vision that Miller does.

Just watched the replay again (shortcut on DTV). Miller looked better than I thought.

Question is... who is the coaches decision for being inactive next week? Daniel Thomas or Lamar Miller?

Gotta sit Thomas. Miller has the vision and is faster.

True, but If Thomas can get and stay healthy (a not insignificant question), I think they sit Miller. His style is very reminiscent of Bush, and Thomas gives you that changeup from a scatback style to a big power runner.

why not keep all 3 active? I'm suprised Miller isn't returning kicks anyway.

I'd like to see more power runs by Javorskie Lane but then again I still think Larry Csonka should be in the backfield.

I like the idea of Lamar Miller at TB and split Reggie out wide. that's probably our 2 best playmakers on the field at the same time. Given our lack of playmakers it seems dumb to keep Miller inactive, but D Thomas has a role to play too as our "big" RB

Keep all three...and find more ways get them on the field along with Lane.

When was the last time we had four quality, starting capable running backs/fullbacks on our roster at the same time?

If we could get Egnew on the field and effective, along with finding another two quality WR's, our Offense would be very, very, good.

Egnew is a soft, crappy player. He's a waste of space and I don't see him even being in the league next year. Horrible pick.

Really?

I can see you back-peddling on this one down the line like you had to with Miller and soon a number of other players.

This team has a nice stash of young, DEVELOPING talent and just watch and see Mr. Berkolator!

Right NOW Pouncey is arguably the BEST C in the NFL. Thill resembles a real legit NFL coitusback and has a HUGE upside. J Martin is getting his game together @RT. Koa (I'm not a Yapanese soup) Misi is showing some nice game. S Smith is a player. R Jones is ramping up. John (no longer Ben and) Jerry is "sprouting." And I could go on and on. But, Mr. Berkolator, I don't want to rub unscaled fish in your face!

How about some Brazilian snapper?

LOL.

BNF. And rather bored by it all.

What about just giving the ball to Javorski Lane instead?

Keeping Miller, Thomas and Bush active means we have 5 RB's active with Thigpen returning kicks and punts (and Lane). It's going to be about the game plan and matchups. We may need to carry an extra DB or DL or something so I guess we'll see.

Let's not get too excited after seeing him in one game. Miami's running game was extremely efficient vs Oakland. Was it because our OLine was great? Were our RBs great? Or did Oakland just plain suck in the running game?

Let's see what happens over the next few games.

However, Miller did look good on Sunday.

Why do you want to dump Thomas? You may say he is injury prone, but the jury is still out on that. Don't forget Ireland traded up to get him; he's not just gonna let him go that quickly.

If Thomas could stay healthy, he could be a very valuable back for Miami, plus he is a big back, unlike Bush and Miller.

Remember, too, that Bush is in the last year of his contract; his price may be way to high for Miami's liking. Thomas will be needed if Bush leaves.

Besides, do we really want Miami to have to draft another running back when they have more pressing needs?

So far the phins OL has been physical in both the texans and raiders game...We just had to get away from the run against the texans in the second half because we were down by a lot of points.

Maybe if Henne were throwing to Jerry Rice and Nat Moore he could do better than RT.

But given crappy receivers, which both had, Henne can't come close.

He might be a talented runner, but it won't happen because Miller can't block. I'd hate to have my QB drop back if Miller had to pick up a blitzing linebacker.
