This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
Whether or not they are, I like the confidence they project in saying so. Although some of it may, at least initially, be negative, the statement places them within the national spotlight and demands media coverage. That means all year long they will be scrutinized, but that also means they will be recognized. If their actions eventually speak as loud as their words, then it leads to endorsements for them as individuals and an increased fan base for the Dolphins. It's called marketing fellas. Let's just hope it is a successful campaign.
I, for one, do not like the idea of players promoting themselves as the best or as the best group in the league. It puts too much pressure on them and the satisfaction other teams get out of making you eat your words is tough.
Instead, I would like to see our beloved Miami Dolphins start a new trend in the NFL - no celebrations. No silly dances for a simple tackle no embarrassing gyrations when a touchdown is made.
For all of the missed plays (missed tackles, missed catches, missed blocks) I cannot see the justification of putting your hands on your hips and looking stupid or dancing around after a tackle (or a catch, or a touchdown, etc.).
shooting off at the mouth has been around for centuries. Backing it up is what counts. I really hope Smith and Vontae turn out to be the best cb tandem in the league. Set the bar high then kick it off the damn stand.
