Thomas and Pouncey

I hear alot about Clay, Gates and Wilson, but I'm wondering how Thomas and Pouncey are doing. Is Thomas going to be able to handle the load as the starter now that Ricky and Ronnie are gone? Just curious.
thanks in advance.....

I've heard both are doing very, very well.

update from a sun sentinel practice report....

-- Nice cut back run by Reggie Bush. There was a hole opened up on the inside by Mike Pouncey, who washed Soliai away.

I hate 1st year centers. It seems like a center needs a couple years to get used to things in the NFL to me. I expect some problems there this year before Pouncey gets used to it.

At least he did play at a college with high level competition.

If only we had some sort of gauge like a twin brother who played the same position...then we could just look at how well the twin did in his rookie year. winking smiley

Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be as polished a Center as his brother was coming out of school. So far all the botched snaps are concerning me and as dominant as Paul Soliai has become over the last 2 seasons, it still is a little disheartening to watch him get tossed around like a rag doll by Soliai when they go up against each other in practice. I'm praying he gets it together and becomes a dominant force for us at the Center position because that would be so huge for us in both the passing and running game. We've been weak on the interior line for quite some time now, I can only imagine how many things would improve for us on offense if we finally had a beast at Center.

Solaia will only make him better and he has one a few battles against him too...opening up big holes for Bush.

Unless you know something I don't...it is too early to say he isn't as polished as his brother. I heard he was more athletic and pulls better....time will tell.

Panteraize,

I dont know where you are getting "all the botched snaps" from. But from reports over the last 4 or 5 days, is that Pouncey is now starting to work Soliai.

People are reporting that Pouncey is a stud. He is starting to really find his groove.
