Might as well sign Grossman. Then we could have 3 inconsistent qbs on the roster and play the hot hand. Rule change this year allowing exemption for emergency qb.
Man, you guys are taking negativity to new heights this year, we cut our 3rd or 4th QB to kick the tires on another one and you guys find a way to bitch about it.

Maybe thats because we still do not have a real 1st stringer? Except for Pennington we haven't had one in over a decade now.

Yeah but Berk, what's changed in the one week of practice? This board went from being the most miserable group of people because there was no football to talk about, to being the most miserable group of people because there was football to talk about......all in 1 week.
IMO you're one of the sharpest guys on here, what realistic QB upgrade did you want that didn't happen? The group that went early in the draft (except for maybe Newton & Gabbert) wouldn't of excited me at 15, (and probably wouldn't of started over Henne this year anyway) half of those guys wen't way too early. Is it not getting Orton? because you admitted (after over reacting I might add) that Orton was the hold up, not our FO. Did you want McNabb/Hassleback/Bulger or Favre? Sure, if the combo of Henne/Moore fails, then any one of those four would of helped us win a few more games, but does that do anything for our long term future?
All this hate towards Henne baffles me, the guy seems to be a hard worker, stays out of trouble and says the right stuff. He may not pan out as our savior, but I don't think it will be for a lack of trying (i've never heard any reports of him being lazy, late for meetings, excesive partying, etc.) A guy at work always says "don't get mad at a frog because he can't fly". Remember, Henne was taken late in the 2nd rnd, maybe the expectations are a little too high.
I can see it if we're 0-6 and it's mostly all his fault, but 1 week into practice, after a shortened off-season, trying to install a new offense, with a boat load of new working parts (most of them were in civvies on the sideline that 1st week also) against a top 5 Def. and he's already taking the abuse he's getting..........I just don't see the logic in that.

dolphaholic, logic doesn't work in these parts. The average football fan is about as emotional as a woman on the rag when it comes to things their team does.
You'll notice that even if we win, over half of this board will complain that we didn't win "good enough". You just have to take the utter ridiculousness that is this board for what it is.
