This is Miami's first playoff appearance since 2001, when the Ravens beat us 20 to 3.

What will happen this time around?

ravens should win since they have the better team (better defense, more consistent run game and more consistent point scoring offense). That being said "any given sunday".

If we can put pressure on the rookie then I think we have a shot at the upset. If we do not then they will come into our house and dictate the game like they did in week 7.

Dolphins, because we're at home, are familiar with Baltimore, and it's tough to beat a team twice in the same season.

I think Miami has a good shot because:

1) Improved special teams play.
2) Improved pass defense.
3) Sparano will have a game plan ready, with lessons learned from week 7.

Overall, I think we match up fairly well with the Ravens. Our run defense was missing BOTH Ferguson and Soliai in the first meeting. We basically played the game without a NT. They'll both be playing on Sunday.

Of course, protecting the ball is a must. And we can't have any stupid penalties this week.

Beyond that, I think our pass rush has to get to Flacco. Favre took some hits yesterday, but he wasn't sacked once. We need our pass rushers (Porter - that means you) to get multiple sacks on Sunday.

We will also need solid pass protection. The Ravens give up very few yds on the ground. I think we will need to win this through the air.

I'm glad to see the board has a healthy respect for Baltimore. Our game against them was a lot tougher than any of the games against the Jets or Pats.

Let's hope our pass rush does pressure Flacco.

We are a better team now than we were then.

Win or lose, I'm happy that the Pats are OUT!

Living in the Northern VA area, we hear all about the Ravens but I really think that we have a shot on Sunday. Yes, they have a GREAT defense but we have a GREAT offense and Coach Sparano leading that charge. We are a different team from week 8 however, we DO have to watch the carelessness because the Ray Lewis' of the team will not be forgiving and will make us pay for it. I just hope that we SELL OUT the stadium this weekend because we have not done that all season. GO PHINS!!!

Miami will win because of The Wildcat. Baltimore will be forced to spread their defense out after studying the Jets game film. Miami has shown that we are willing to pull out all the stops with The Wildcat in crucial games and the Ravens will be forced to adjust their defense accordingly. The team making the better halftime adjustments will win.

Baltimore was the one team that had NO problem stopping our wildcat offense. I don't think a couple more wrinkles will make THAT much of a difference. We need to play good defense and efficient offense. I've heard a number of announcers say we won't be able to move the ball against them. That's bull. Pennington can move our team against ANY defense. We just need to execute.

The Ravens will easily take it. The Wildcat means NOTHING against them.

The Phins will win because they will keep the ball away from the Ravens and our D will rise to the occasion.

Dolphins will adjust to the pressure Defense that was put on us in the first game and wont waste plays the wildcat for negative yardage. We win with a last second FG ....

Who Wins Sunday?

Hello everyone, full disclosure I'm a big time Ravens fan. I ran a poll on a Baltimore board to see who everyone thought was going to win on Sunday. I was curious to see how the same poll would turn out on a Miami board.

Personally, I think we're a bad matchup for the Dolphins. Our run defense is better than your run offense, and our big vulnerability, the secondary, is most threatened by big play wide receivers and big armed QBs. On offense Flacco has developed tremendously and baring some big turnovers from Joe I see a comfortable win for the Ravens. Gaither vs. Porter is a big matchup.

So, how do you all see the game turning out? I predict 27-10 (my boys obviously)

By the way I just wanted to congratulate you all on an amazing season. What a turnaround. You have a solid core in place. I'm so happy you took out the Patriots.

Good thoughts, but the Playoffs are a whole new ball game and I don't think you are giving enough credit to Pennington. I think our QB outplays yours and our defence forces Flacco to make plays by stopping the run. We held the Jets running game intact last week and I think the same happens this week.

Dolphins 17
Ravens 13

Everyone loves your team, but I'm not sold on them yet....let's see if you can win twice down in South Florida with a rookie QB.

I take comfort in a couple of statistics. The Ravens are tied for best point differential in the NFL at +141. Dolphins are +28, worst of the AFC playoff teams.

Flacco has actually been better on the road than at home this year, surprising for a rookie QB. He has a QB rating of 91.7 on the road. At this point he's no longer a rookie in my mind, he certainly doesn't look like one out there anymore.

We're certainly both better teams than the first time we met. Chad's had a 100+ QB rating the past 4 games which is impressive.

In my opinion you guys will need to be +2 in the turnover battle or better in order to win the game, I don't see that happening, but we'll see soon enough.

I really don't want to get into this debate but I will just say that Ray Lewis was found NOT GUILTY for the charge of murder. Another person was found GUILTY for that murder and admitted as much. The family of the victim does not believe Ray Lewis to be the murderer, and actually has a close relationship with him now. It grinds my gears when people continue to call Ray Lewis something he is not. Unless you believe you know more about the situation than the family of the victim, the courts who heard the case, and the person who admitted to committing the murder.

In addition, Ray Lewis does an amazing amount of charity work for the city of Baltimore.

He copped a plea and ratted on his buddies to stay out of jail. He was also charged with obstruction of justice.

His friends went to jail. He did not. He had the dream team. They did not. Draw your own conclusions.

Michael Vick did a lot of charity work for the city of Atlanta, but I'm not ready to anoint him a saint. Pretty much ALL NFL players do charity work here-and-there. It comes with the job. As a professional athlete, you're a role-model. Popular players are big draws that can make a lot of money for charities. That's just the way it works.
