It's kind of odd you think Miami is so bad and is going to lose to those teams but the Cards are going to get 10 wins when they have to play...
The Pats, Eagles, Dolphins, 49ers (twice), Packers, Falcons, Jets, Lions and Bears.
Their is potential for 9-10 losses right there.
Their only addition to the "worst line" was Bobbie Massie, a late round pick and Colledge from the Packers at G. They are still bad at T.
Indy just doesn't have the talent. Their defense is terrible and Luck....even if he is the next Manning, is going to struggle. Manning posted a 3-13 record as a rookie and their are no guarantees Luck will be as good as Manning.
They also have a similar schedule to ours. They play the AFC East this year and the NFC North....Packers, Lions, Pats etc
I think the Rams will be improved but not enough to give them a clear advantage over Miami. They still don't have much support for Bradford even if he can stay healthy. Not much at WR. They drafted Quick pretty high but he is still going to need time. They should be better on defense with a pretty good line depending if the rookie (Brockers) can start.

Good points Eesti, we shall see what happens as the season unfolds. Problem I see with the 2012 Dolphins is twofold: Learning the new offensive scheme, and number two: the defense rotating towards new schemes as well, with no significant personnel upgrades on the Defensive side of the ball. Most detrimental thing to MIA from my point of view this season will be serious problems in the Secondary(especially safety play) and a weak pass rush, just like last year.
I see Miami having a better pass rush than last year just by the fact that we can run a 4-3 with Odrick at SDE.
Odrick, Starks, McD and Wake could be pretty formidable.
The difference being that Odrick plays full time. he had like 5 or 6 sacks last year while splitting time and playing 34 DE which doesn't usually produce as many sacks.
All those players I listed can rush the passer.
Throw in Vernon and we should be pretty good.
The other thing I like is our D-coord. has done a great job turning mediocre players into pro bowlers in the secondary. I think we have some talent there but just haven't had much in the coaching department.
Like you said...we will see.

Odrick played right end in the old 3-4. Now a 4-3 team, the Dolphins are trying to get their best four defensive linemen on the field. Odrick figures to play end on all running downs, kicking inside to tackle in passing situations with rookie Olivier Vernon replacing him on the edge. Cameron Wake will be a full-time, every-down right end. The D-Tackles are Paul Soliai and Randy Starks.

I for one think our defense will be even better this year - Why?
1. If the WCO is successful the offense should be on the field a lot more. Longer drives, more TDs. Fresher defense.
2. We have some injured players coming back this year Odrick, and some upgrades in the secondary.
Secondly, I'm going to enjoy watching this offense so much more than the Sparano 3 point pumpfest. Can't believe we lived thru that.
Win or lose I feel a lot better about the intellect and philospophy of this coaching staff.
Thirdly - the up tempo speed and conditioning this team is going thru gives me hope that we don't start out like last year ... struggling to get in shape by game 6 or 7 ... rather coming out hot and draining teams that come to S. Florida like we used to.
Lastly, I hoping the defense gets used to the up tempo and plays te4ams like NE tighter when they go to no huddle.

RESPONSE TO MYSELF OF MAY OF 2012:
Be careful what you wish for. The new guys will be so wreckless on the other end that they will ASSUME that a 45 yard field goal is a GIMME even in OVERTIME when ANY POINT WINS THE GAME and they will not keep running the ball to get closer on every down. We will lose a game on account of their trying NOT TO BE TONY SPARANO.
And to blow 'your mind, ChyrenB of May of 2012, Tony Sparano will be on the other side of the field laughing at us as we lose.
