I love the pick. I thought he was the 2nd best back in the draft, but I didn't know about the injury issues. Does anyone know more about that?
At this point, I didn't have a strong conviction on any of the receivers. McNutt is still there and I suppose we could go with another Miami player in Streeter later. With his experience in Sherman's offense, Jeff Fuller makes sense too.
Based on that clip, good cuts, nice speed, GREAT vision up the field especially side to side(improves his cuts). I am concerned with his running posture though. If he doesn't learn how to lower his body and stop running straight up, he won't last long in the league.
Reggie Bush is a free agent at the end of the season, and he is making $6M per year. That is a ton of money for RB the way the league is now. Unless he is willing to take a big paycut, he won't be a Dolphin in 2013. People need to realize, this team is not being built for 2012. It's for 2013 and beyond.

Because regardless of his ability to bring 100+ catches to the team he plays for, he is a team cancer and a locker room nightmare, not to mention a diva.
While I too am feeling the sting of not getting more for a player with such amazing abilities, I don't mourn the loss of a player who will destroy your team from the inside out.
Odenn - True, but I wish the fins could have gotten more. We essentially traded Marshall with Egnew who is going to be a real project if they want to make him an NFL tight end.
Agreed. Hindsight is 20/20. Just think about it like this. We got to taste having a true #1 option at WR for a bit. It didn't cost us too much. We also now know not to bring in player with serious character concerns just because he's an elite because he won't be around for long. Lesson learned.(Keep in mind i was one of this boards biggest cheerleaders for bringing him here no matter what the cost.)

Precisely. And if, as someone posted above, he is second only to Trent Richardson in this draft for RBs, this was a smart move. Even without considering Reggie's contract, he's not going to last forever.
What stuck out to me the most, was his ability to return kick offs. So many people forget about the field position or the ability to turn a game around quickly with a good return. He is good at seeing the entire field.
punt returning is much more valuable than KR with the new rules and all the touchbacks. I wonder if miller can return punts? don't think he did it at UM

Excellent point.
I remember hearing a few weeks back that the nfl was actually considering eliminating the kickoff all together and just starting every change of possession at the 20 or 25 yard line.
Don't know if they'll do it, but with all the concussion lawsuits they are facing their will be considerable pressure on them to demonstrate that they are making the game safer when it comes to head injuries.
I saw a lot of Hurricane games as I am also a Hurricane fan. He was the team! IMO he was the 2nd best RB in the draft this year. This may not spell the end of Thomas. It may be that after Bush is gone next year, they'll have this stable of backs of Thomas, Miller, and the big guy we just picked up.
WR's will look better with cancerous Marshall gone. Hopefully Naanee, Cunningham, Fuller & Wallace, and Egnew add some threats. Needed a quick slot, didn't get it, maybe we will see Miller or bush?
We might see a vet like Driver or Gaffney added Is Bernard Berrian a FA? Braylon Edwards if healthy? Patrick Crayton? Bryant Johnson?
