I agree with you wholeheartedly Rick. The draft schedule is truly stupid. It's become a drawn out 3 day dog and pony show worse than the Oscars that starts at 2pm locally for me while I'm still at work on Thursday. Just that in itself makes me want to boycott the whole damn thing which I probably will.

Agree, don't like it as well either, but look on the bright side ... now you can have 3 parties.

Like it or not its become a 24 X 7 media market and the draft is accomodating.

Hope they stop the media from revealing the winner with on the phone discussions prior to announcements, like they are saying they wouild, as I think it has made it less exciting to reveal it before the announcement.

I'm having a get Together tonight . I guess if your Team doesn't have a 1st rounder your just out of luck.

NFL is all about the money now. 3 days = 3x the advertising , television rights. People should really not watch it , read about it in the paper and it would send a message.

It's definitely about the money.

But the biggest impact is moving round 1 to prime time on the biggest tv night of the week.

From a business standpoint it's a brilliant move.

From a diehard fan perspective it sucks.

I miss the old format. Saturday was awesome. Used to have an all day all night poker game and beerfest with a half dozen friends that loved the draft as much as I did.

Now there's no way their wives let them out two nights in a row!

Bring back the weekend draft, it was such a good time ! Now its "no bueno" !

I'm on the East Coast...I never even thought if the time change. Thats just wrong. 2 days is the way to go. Sat, and Sunday.

5 o'clock my time. Most people are still working at 5 o'clock ! It's a work night for crying out loud ! Some of us have kids sports and honey doos to complete. This suuuuucks !

I thought your complaint was it was too late, not too early. but yeah, that sucks. I'm usually still working at 8, so I feel your pain about the weekday draft
