Funny how Marshall thinks that publicly undermining his own quarterback (Moore) like that is going to make Flynn want to play with him.

Kinda like how Ross thought publicly humiliating his head coach (Sparano) would make Harbaugh want to work for him.

Right, Slipstream. And look at the comments posted after the article about the nerve of someone who drops as many passes as Marshall having the GALL to talk about switching Quarterbacks.

I have no problem with Marshall talking to him, obviously. What sucks is that he put it out there where Moore can read it. Moore did a great job of playing aggressively and helping Marshall to one of his best seasons - 15.0 YPC! As noted, if Marshall had not dropped 1/2 dozen TDs, it would have been his best season of his career. If Moore is the starting QB game 1, how willing is he to help Marshall to a 100-yd, 2TD game?

Just when I was hoping he matured a bit and was starting to like Marshall. But I guess he knows a New QB is iminent in South Florida.

marshall's a Diva A hole. Makes some nice catches but drops a lot of easy ones. Work on you own game, time for Moore to ask for Reggie Wayne , but he has more class

Marshall is a POS underachiever. Trade him for a 3rd round pick and let's get a real WR.

Moore should retaliate and post on there asking for a WR with hands that aren't made out of stone.

This proves nobody has faith in Moore. Ross, Ireland, Philbin, and now Marshall have all publicly spoken of upgrading the QB position.

The Phins really stink as an organization. Moore was one of the few bright spots on last year. 6-7 as a starter, w/ an ot loss, a 1pt loss and a 3pt loss to NE. He had a 16/9 td to int ratio not bad as a first year starter and they are ready to throw him under the bus. He has done more in this league than Flynn. I really hope they let Moore go aquire Flynn and he sucks.

This org is too quick to crap on their players. Anothey issue I have is reading this week on ther comments regarding G John Jerry. They guy stepped in and look good replacing Long at LT and should be ready to bloom in going into his 3rd year. They gave more favorable comments to Lydon Murthat who did absolutely nothing last year. This is why i loki to see ex phins get SB rings w/ other teams.

This year I would like to see Donald Thomas get one w/ the Pats

This proves Marshall is poison and really needs to go.

Like others said the dude CHOKED time and time again missing sure TD catches – enough is enough. You can’t build winning TEAMS with insecure egomaniacs like Marshall. What he’s best at is undermining the whole concept of team IMO.

I really don't have a problem with it. Players talk and Ireland has already made it very clear that we will be upgrading the QB position this off season. Marshall really didn't do anything wrong. The team is not throwing Moore under the bus either. They just aren't sitting pat and thinking he is going to be the savior. If they did that then you guys would be complaining about how we never go for a top QB right?

Do you honestly think Matt Moore can be a top 5 QB in this league? Because that is the goal, when you have a top 5 guy then you are a super bowl contender every single season.

Look...I agree with the whole "Marshall is a cancer" thing...but he's done nothing wrong here.

It would be one thing if he'd reached out to Flynn on his own once the season ended but that's not the case here.

He's just following the front offices lead on this one and being a good "team leader". That's what your best players do...they recruit FA's to your team.

There are plenty of things to get on Marshall's case about...this just isn't one of them.

RE: Jerry did look good once he got to play more...however, you have to shrug some of what was said as the GM trying to motivate players to improve themselves during the off season. I'm quite sure that Ireland sees that Jerry played better and he wants to maximize his product by saying that he needs to get better...not one player should be allowed to rest on thier laurels.

RESPONSE: Maybe a linebacker, maybe an offensive tackle, maybe a corner, maybe another wide receiver but if you will notice quarterback is the only position on the team (outside of kicker) wherein there is only one position.

To recruit a FA quarterback to your team when your team has a QB already is a slap in the face.

I’ve been very reluctant in the past to trade this dude because he does have game, but with all the TD drops and huge garbage bag he carries around – get rid of his ass for 3rd or better and be done with it.

Marshall is in the same douche category as Ocho, T.O., & Moss. Players who have an individual agenda instead of a team concept.

Do you honestly think Matt Flynn is a top 5 nfl QB? Moore has proved as much as Flynn in the nfl.

Matt Moore didn't set team records for yards and touchdowns in a single game. . .

I'm not saying Flynn will be a top 5 QB but his ceiling certainly seems higher than Moore's.

If philbrin brings him in we gotta live w/ it but remember

Matt Moore's qb rating was better than Kevin Kolb's, Hasselbeck and Cassel's last year.

We should also trade Marshall to the Bears for a 3rd or maybe 2nd round pick

Let's not fall for the one game wonder trap. Folks thought "Mr. October" was all that when we traded him to the Lions. He then stunk it up his first year, got dinged, sat, had two good seasons out of three following, then lost his job to Charlie Batch. Now the "Water Buffalo" coaches his High School team.
