The 1 smart move made by Ireland that nobody is talking about...

yes I agree. fantastic "non move." although I think it was more because we were too cheap to pay his contract than any brilliance. regardless, good move. even a stopped clock keeps the right time twice a day.
I put this more on Denver than Ireland. If they would have taken our first offer, then Orton would be a Phin. Now they're kicking themselves for not doing that.
I thought it was Ortons a$king price that nixed the deal? Either way I agree that Ireland should get some credit for not overpaying. I wonder what Ortons market will be this off-season?

YES on Pouncy.
Negative on Thomas , no matter how good he is , when you desperately need a QB.
I actually think Orton would give the Broncos a better chance to win this week. Tebow can make more plays and lifts the team, but his accuracy is pretty spotty. Against our lousy CBs you want a guy who can hit wide open guys almost every time, and that's Orton.
the funny parrt is that 90 percent of the people that want to suck for luck and guarantee this being the right move for our team, said the exact same thing 3 months ago about Kyle Orton. People said Ireland was a bumm and an idiot becasue he didnt trade away first rd picks for Orton and pay him to be our franchise QB. Which would have put back our organization another 4 years and 50 million dollars. That is why I laugh at all the same experts who think Andrew Luck is the guranteed answer... Please step up now and admit how foolish you are and that we defintely shouldnt listen to you about acquiring a QB...lol.. speak now or i can embarrass most of you with your own words from 3 months ago... AS you sit on your high chair criticizing everyone and claim to have the latest answer for success..lol... It makes it hard to listen to how thick the bs is around here, and everybody acting like they actually know what they are talking about.... this site has gone way down hill this year... sad to say, but the proof is in the comments and post of most members

Come on, man. You cant be serious. Just trust me, Thomas will be a good player in this league and Mallett will never, ever start.

I was 100% behind the organization until after week #3 this year. I have learned, from being a huge Louisville Cardnial fan, that when it is time to change on a sports team, and really in any part of your life, you must embrace the situation and not run away from it.
The sooner we clean house the better off we are. Jake Long, Pouncey and maybe the long snapper. Everyone else must go.

Add Cam Wake and Brandon Fields to those we should keep.

I hear ya, DOug, and even what Monti said, but there is more then just Long Pouncey Fields and Wake... Daniel THomas looks good, so does our WR for the most part... Rebuilding a WR corp better then we have currently would be a tall order and completely foolish to scrap... Fasano is one if not the best blocking TE in the game... Vontae Daivs is a top Cb when healthy, and he has done fairly well on that front up until this year.. I like what Nolan Carroll and Wilson are showing... Our entire Dline certainly should not be scraped... You dont like Odrick or Solia? I could go on, the problem is getting it all to click and come together and injuries,Why in the heck would you want to go nuclear, and try and rebuild things we are already pretty strong in....

It is mainly a FLa store but they are in some other markets in the South east as well, like Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee.... i do business with them
but like "the Dude" and in honor of my west coast phins fans such as Chyren and others, I still carry my Ralph's card in my wallet from my times living and working in LA..... I think Ralphs was the first to do those discount cards, now everybody has one....

I wanted us to trade for Orton. I wanted us to do anything to upgrade the QB position, and based on his play last year, Orton looked like an upgrade at the right price. Now I want to go all in for Luck and finish this QB issue once and for all. The fact that Orton is having a crappy year means what exactly? Never want the team to upgrade the QB positon b/c the player targeted could end up sucking? Sorry I don't subscribe to that---especially when it comes to a once in a generation QB like Luck (don't think ANYONE who wanted Orton wanted him b/c they though he was a Pro Bowler or anything, just better than Henne).
I think blowing this team up would be foolish, contrary to popular belief, Jeff Ireland has added some serious young talent to this team. The problem seems to be that It's collectively under achieving at this point, you get the right coach in here and a half a dozen more quality players and we'll be competing with the best of em.
I had reservations about Orton but I wanted us to bring him in anyway for competition and to take the starting job if possible...something we need at the QB position. But then again I've wanted us to draft the following guys too for the very same reason.

I agree about Rivers, but he wen't 4th and we drafted 18th (I think) that year. I was under the assumption this list was of guys we had a shot at getting.
