The blame I see on the GM and or HC

The way the FO has handled players and rosters and even the way Ross and Ireland have handled Sparano, has been always demoralizing IMO... We use to have more respect with how we handled players. We cut and drop players at the drop of a hat or after a couple bad plays in the first game... All of this IMO, has demoralized the players and how they feel about this organization, and it shows. The FO needs to not be so heavy handed at this point, it has had a horrible adverse negative affect on the team moral and make-up. The young players see the regime drop veterans with no warning who gave all they had to this team, and how does the team repay them, they cut them, or renegotiate contracts, and then cut them... So you are some young hot shot player, and you have to worry about your future, and why in the world you would want to stay with this team, who shows now loyalty or respect back to those that can and will make or break them. I just think that the evironment that has been created by the business end of our team, has demolished the team moral neccesary to be a winning team consistently... I am not saying the team cant find the energy or moral, but the FO, is destroying it regularly, and seem to be oblivious to the fact or just dont seem to acknowledge its importants to being successful, which I take as foolish... For every action there is a reaction, that applies to everything you do and this team has done to itself ... The reactions being negative commradeire, and commitment to the team, thus lacking what it takes to accel in the highly competive NFL... I actually believe this is more on Ireland then Sparano, although Irleand has gotten some great players, he has done the damage to the moral IMO.

I don't sense a full effort from Ireland.

We needed a TE upgrade....he cut guys who are better than the ones he signed.

We needed a quality upgrade over Crowder, ummm....Burnett? Not so much. Our LB's are not good enough as a group.

We needed a quality speed receiver, and they used a 7th rounder for an undersized burner.

We needed a quality compliment to Cameron Wake and they signed Jason 'shoulda hung up the cleats 2 years ago' Taylor.

We needed someone on OL...we got Columbo.

The optics are that Ireland gave Sparano what he wanted in signing his old Cowboy player, and that he brought back the prodigal son to be a pass rushing monster.

The reality is that Ireland is throwing a sinking man an anchor. What GM looks at Colombo and thinks...."This guy can still play!"? I don't think anyone trying to genuinely build a winning team is signing Columbo. Same with JT. I think it is great that he retires a Dolphin. I also think JT can add value if he plays 10-15 plays a game a sub and mentor...for the guy they drafted or signed to be the pass rush specialist.

I raised this possibility before, but I am more convinced than ever, that Ireland was retained and given the mandate to manage personnel on a budget...no mortgaging of the future....no drastic roster moves which might buy Sparano more time...just some vanilla moves to fill the 53 man roster. If Sparano pulls off a miracle...then he gets more time....and if not...then the next guy comes in with money to spend, no huge contracts to bind, and a full stock of draft picks.

I'm not saying that Ireland is setting him up for failure....but he sure isn't throwing him a preserver either.

He DID draft Clay, but the jury is still out on him.

Crowder's #1 issue was health. It's no good having a decent LB if they guy can't stay on the field. Burnett actually looked good in preseason. I can't figure out what happened. On the other hand, he cut Edds, who led the team in tackles in preseason.

Gates was a 4th rounder.

Taylor's been fairly productive so far, but I see your point.

Agree 100% here. No idea what's going on with the O-Line.

That's scary if it's true.

I've been saying it for a while now. Their priorities are all screwed up. They have thrown all their eggs in one basket with Henne, and even though he's grown on me some, Its a really bad decision that will haunt this team for a long time. All though Thomas is starting to look like a really good back, its not what this team needed at the time. Especially with so many free agent options available. And thats just the draft.

I see a Team that commits penalties, does not manage the clock and time outs, makes really bad play call descions. GAME changing errors.

And the Most important thing about this head coach, his team does not seem to fight for him. They say all the right thinsg sure, but the way we lost to cleveland last sunday Its just a lock of Motivation. They don't believe what he Saprano selling.

So Pouncey and Thomas are producing and you're still whining about the draft? "99 problems but a draft ain't 1"

What I said was........Thomas could be the second coming of ricky Williams when he went for 1850 yds. Big deal. We still didn't make the playoffs then and we won't NOW. Thats not whining, thats a" F"ing Statement.

A runningback was a poor choice to TRADE UP for at that point in time value wise. No matter how good he turns out to be or not to be. Especially with so many free agents avaialble at the time .

Poor decisions made by this staff is keeping us down. And its getting worse.

Yeah, my bad, I guess we'd be 3-0 with your 2 man-crushes, R Mallet and R Williams

Treasure, we have 2 of the best performing rookies in the entire league. Both contributing immediately at a high level. Daniel THomas is leading all RB's drafted ahead and behind him at this point as well, and he didnt even really play in the first game... I am not sure any bone you are trying to pick in that direction have any fair or valid points based on the immediate success of both players..

Daniel Thomas looks to be a steal, even drafted in the 2nd round. This guy is playing like a top 15 player.

We nailed that pick!

Well Pouncy needs to bulk up with muscle he has been ok so far.

He needs to become a man which I expected him to be a little soft and about his third year he should be if he works on his body a dominate center.

Thomas has surprised me, and he is playing with alot of heart he reminds me of AP.

Time will tell though.

Jimmy Wilson however is the steal of the draft he played very very well sunday and the ball was an inch away from being picked it was just a perfect ball and a hell of a lucky catch.

Jimmy WILSON is the man, will be the man and should compliment Davis very well, infact we could move him where Smith is and use Smith as our Nikle corner, move Allen to FS. I think our defense would be ten fold better if we did that.

Wow you guys are really Obtuse. Agree with me or not. I don't really care. But I'll say it again for the 10,000th time ..........I never doubted Thomas's ability. (Ha ! Doubting Thomas get it?) I don't care if he is Barry Sanders double. THIS TEAM DOES NOT NEED A RUNNING BOWL CALIBUR RUNNINGBACK. NOT NOW NOT LAST YEAR. You said it yourselves he is performing and still where are we? Were were we when Ricky Williams went 1850 yds? A Power running game does not work when you are backed into the red Zone and teams know you have an inaccurate QB and a fast collasping Oline. On Top of that The value for a high second rd Runningback is very poor because they don't last longer then 5 yrs. teams like the Pats have that Luxury but we do not.

Agree with me, don't agree with me I don't really give a shite. Saying I don't have a point is just You people being purposely argumentive. Whatever flots your boat. But if you don't agree explain why instead of just the name calling.

We get it Treasure,

but what you dont get, is, that Ryan Mallett is a joke. He is not a franchise QB, and never will be one.

Why waste a pick on Mallett when he will never start a game in his career?

Wait a year, suck, then take Andrew Luck, Landry Jones, or Matt Barkley.

Treasure, we need a rb to gain yardage in power formation. Daniel Thomas looks to be an uprgrade in catching and running on the 2 players we had in the position last year. Now if we can just use Bush the way we did in the NE game we might have something going with our running game. Pouncey is great at his size, his quickness, and running ability up field is what really seperates him from the rest of the centers in the league and potential upside. When Thomas scored his screen pass TD he followed the rookie center way up field right into the end zone. That is pretty nice, when you have a rookie RB catch a screen pass and take it 20 yards up field and follow you rookie center of all people in the 3rd level into the endzone. That play alone gave me special hope in the 2 and future success working in tandem together. Cheers, no abuse smileys with beer

Treasure, you just gave me an idea.

Since we don't want to offend children who may be reading the board, why don't we say...... "I don't give a Sunni or a Shiite."
