No question that Carpenter's work on FGs and XPs has been terrific. He's been crtitical in several wins this year.
He needs to improve his work on kickoffs. He's near the bottom of the league in touchbacks (5 in 12 games), and Jeff Ireland told us he isn't consistently kicking the ball to the designated side of the field (i.e. kicking to the left on 'coverage left' plays). He's been part of the problem regarding kick coverage issues.

I'd be curious to see if Fields could kick off. He has a big time leg. Other punters have done it, why not him?
