The Henne haters will be happy in a few weeks, because he won't last much longer with this crew "protecting" him. It was an interesting dichotomy in today's game. The zone blocking scheme, and the 1-cut style of Thomas seemed liked an excellent match for each other. Yet, almost every pass attempt looked like a total jailbreak up front. Mario Williams is a great player, but did you see what they tried to do to handle him? We had Nate Garner playing as a 2nd TD for much of the game, including the very first series, just to help block him. And we would send 2 TEs to his side, he would go to the other side, and we'd sent a TE back that way. The entire scheme was in flux the whole game because they knew Colombo had no chance to block him. Which he proved on the INT, a play that really changed the complexion of the game. Richie Incognito and Vernon Carey both struggled mightily in pass protection, allowing lots of pressure up the middle. How many times did Henne have a clean pocket to work from? It wasn't many. The Pats have a lousy pass rush, and they pressured Henne over 20 times. And we saw today what a team with a good pass rush can do. This is not going to be pretty.

columbo is so bad we need a second RT just to help him do his job. everyone knew colomubo was horrible last season for DAL--they could not wait to cut him and spent a top 10 pick on his replacement. yet tony snaps him up and makes him the starter within a 24 hour period. that alone should get him fired (ireland too)

Yep. The worst part is that Sparano is supposed to be an oline guru. He sucks as a talent evaluator and, of course, as a game coach. Fire Sparano tomorrow.

I was impressed with Thomas running style today. After hearing about him tip toeing through drills in practice I didn't expect to see him hitting holes like he did.

Ireland is to blame for the poor talent on the o-line (and other positions). Why would he even consider signing Colombo? Sure, he may get a few good players, but this is his 4th year and we still aren't any closer to the playoffs. (The 2008 Wildcat year doesn't count... it was a once-and-done gimmick.) Sparano either had no clue for the past 2 seasons that Henning's playcalling was terrible or was too afraid of Parcells to fire Henning. (Parcells hand-picked Henning.) Both of these guys need to go.

Right!!? If thats his speciality, what can we expect from his weak areas? Ross had it right last year, should have fired the Meatball.

Time to clean house of all the Parcells - Dallas garbage. Get someone who knows how to run team. I would not mind them bring Marc Trestman back from Canada.
