Henne needs to place the ball where he can get it.

Yep...it is obvious we need more players.

So many of Hennes throws are over thrown. I like alot of what I've seen from him. But his red Zone play needs serious work.

Marshall dropped an absolutely perfect thrown TD pass. Perfectly thrown. He also stopped a route on another one where Henne expected him to take it to the corner. And he also made no effort to catch another one thrown his way.

Another point is that would it be any surprise for another team to expect us to go to Marshall in the red zone and if so, maybe we should use that knowledge and then...................

Unfortunately, we don't have many other options. Bess is too small to be a good red zone target. And he thrives on his quickness in space, and in the redzone, there is much less space for him. Hartline isn't a physical receiver. Neither is Gates. And today, we had to keep Fasano in to block because we couldn't handle the Texans pass rush. So, your options are not great. If they could prove that they could run the ball in, things would loosen up in the secondary. And the other HUGE problem is the pass rush that we allow other teams with their base pass rush. If you can pressure the QB with your front 4, you can drop 7 into coverage. And if you have 7 in coverage in the redzone, there is not much real estate out there to get anyone open. If we could run the ball in, and pass protect, the redzone offense would take off. Until then, expect it to be hit or miss.

Henne needs to throw is TD passes to Hartline rather than Marshall. Hartline would have made that catch.

Marshall's fine if you complete it outside the endzone and let him use his strength to push it over the goal line, but if he's INSIDE the endzone he's pretty useless. That's when Hartline shines.

Exactly. There was that one play I thought Henne was going to run it in. he had a wide open field. They expected it to go to Marshall and he threw it anyway.

Plenty of blame to go around. Marshall dropped a couple, henne missed a couple, the o line is really bad (Jake even gave up a sack), the d sucked all around again, missed fg's, etc.

Bottom line is this...These problems come from coaching. I like sparano. He's probably a really nice guy but that's not what I want in a football coach. The guy has to go.

Marshall is the most overrated player on this team.
