can anyone answer this perplexing question...

Question 1) with 8 minutes left in a game you are looking at on average 2 possesions. So if you are down by two scores is that not 4 down territory. So if 4th and 1, i dont care from where how do you not go for it?

Question 2) If you are 4th and 19 from your 15 with 2 minutes left and still down by two scores what sense does it make to now go for it when the game is clearly over but you dont go when 4th and 1??? I am truly confused.

As a professional organization you should know that 8 minutes and down by two scores is 4 down territory so why pass on a doable 4th a and 1 but you will go on 4th and 19??? please help me?

Well, key word you said was "professional organization". We are not one so that question is invalid. Sorry but true. Pro's are real teams

The reasons they didnt go for it with 8 minutes left were field position and that the defense is supposed to be the strength of the team. So, you punt, and count on your D to force a 3 and out.

Coaching is a big Problem on this team. Irlend gave us the talent.

well if you punt any team even if they go 3 and out and your defense does its job a team will still run almost 3 minutes off the clock. And that is if they do not get a first so you will get it back with 5 minutes still down by 2 scores...

if it was 4th and 10 at our 18 yes you have to punt and just hope but if it is 4th and 1 you will only get one more possession so you have to go. I dont know, maybe everyone is a genious in hind site but we are what 40 for 42 or some crazy stat on 4th and short.

Ireland has given the team some talent. Unfortunately, there's not enough talent to field a strong, winning team.

Really? You think Ireland has done a good job?

I think he's a non-instinctive formula "evaluator" who defaults to safe mode as often as possible. He's uncovered ZERO impact talent in the mid to later rounds.

His lone bright spot is UDFA Bess. But that was luck and nothing more. This FO is poor IMO.

I'd have gone for it too...without all the math calculations. But apparently that supports going for it as well. But if the yardage would have been for 2 yards or more, i'd have been more likely to punt.

The answer to this thread is because sparano and the rest of the coaches on this team have a really huge learning disability and low IQ.

What else could it be?

I bet even the late mia1's IQ was higher than the phin coaches. And we all know the late mia1's IQ was lower than a retarded mule.

Stop trying to figure out why they do things, did you listen to his post game interviews???? He said he had no answers... Jason Taylor sounded more like the Dam Head Coach of this team, hell maybe they should promote him to it, at least JT wants to hold players accountable the HC just has no answer...

He has no answers becaus e he stinks as a head coach and has no idea what he is doing....Thats what i was thinking the other day....

What kind of a coach doesnt hold his players accountable for their actions.? Pathetic.

The pats beat us and belickick was still trying to get his team to get better and improve next week. As much as i hate to admit it...he is a true headcoach and sparano is not.

I listened to his crap on the radio on my way home from the game, I was Hot I tried to call the dam Radio station, but my language would have not been fitting to air....LOL Then you hear JT come on and it was like hey is he auditioning to be the Coach? he had answers he pointed out problems, said this team needs to get to the point of expecting to win , not hoping to win...

JT probably has a good IQ. Sparano on the other hand has the IQ of a fruit fly.
