It is Sparano's job to get this team ready. It is obvious that they are not prepared with all the injuries and poor play. This is over his head and we need something else. Not somebody here for a paycheck, someone who wants to see a winning franchise again.

Phinsfan2 you beat me to it. I just returned from the bar where I watched us lose the 11th out of our last 12 home games. I wanted to start a thread titled "Fire Sparano". The first thing I was going to bitch about was that idiotic attempt to draw the Texans offside, but you said it first. I can only concur. I am so sick of being a Dolfan. All it does is bring frustration to my life.

If I am Ross. I fire Sparano tomorrow and force Ireland to seek trades for players in the last year of their contracts. I don't care if we don't get full value, because they won't be around next year and we might as well get something for nothing. Ulitmately, our season couldn't have gotten off to a worse start. 0 and 2 at home and the other AFC East teams are 2 and 0. Sell the farm and look to the future because it ain't happening anytime soon.

BNF, you are dead wrong about one thing:

This team isn't almost a joke, it IS a joke.

Jeff Darlington on Twitter: Sparano on losing another home game: "It’s baffling to me. It really is. I don’t have any answers for it. We’ve got to do a better job."

Fire this clown now. This is an embarrassment. You lose by double digits twice in a row at home to open the season and all you can say is "I don't have any answers?" Well, gee, thanks for being honest with us.

Unbelievable.

Thanks BNF. It's true I'm a dolphins fan that has to deal with the pats and jets fans year in and year out. I have no plans to switch my team ever, but If I did it would be to an NFC team. Probably GB

Yea, GB was my childhood team.

Let's move GB to Miami!

Or would that screw them up?

Yeah, when Sparano says that, it's almost like he's ASKING to be fired and be put out of his misery.

I am a season Ticket Holder, and I am at the point where I may not go to the rest of the games.... Yea he may have got my Money already for my tickets but he will loose all that I spend at the game....

I still have Tickets to the Broncos game. I'm going because at 80 yrs old, who knows how many games I have left to see with my dad. I was really hoping to celebrate a Superbowl with him one day. looks like I'll never see that wish unless he hits 100..............

One of our biggest mismatches we could create is Bush getting the ball in space, or getting to the corner, and I did not see much of that Tonight, so that falls all on the coach.... Seems like the Opposing team always takes advantage of there mismatches against us, but we don't do the same...

phinsfan, wait til the bye week to do that. not sure that a guy like cowher would want to jump in midseason anyways. also, not sure that cowher isn't a bit overrated. he is a good coach and better than sporano but Pittsburgh had tons of talent and continued to win and even won another SB without him.

Need to bring in a new GM and HC now, so that they can use the rest of this season to evaluate the players to see who to keep. I'm sure there a more than a few keepers on this roster that could remain.

i'd say more than a few players to keep. im on board with new coaching but i don't want too much of a roster blowup. i don't want to have to start completely over because i think there is a lot of talent on the roster. the oline needs a makeover but i like the rest of our offense. The secondary needs some help but i still like a lot of the players on D. the problems are not huge, i think consistency is the biggest problem and better coaching should improve that. also, the offense was alright today but the red zone offense and third down offense remains a work in progress. two missed FG's hurt too. the defense was not that bad either but not that good. keep in mind that Houston has had a top 5 offense for the past three seasons so they are no slouch either. so im basically saying that its not as bad as you think. Bottom line is Sporano won't get fired this season until we lose to some bad teams I don't think that will happen. don't get me wrong, I am all for a new coaching staff but I want to see a few more games and see how we play against some lesser competition than Houston and NE before i say we fire a coach midseason. BTW, firing a coach mid season will make us look even stupider to the rest of the league since people around here apparently consider us the laughing stock of the league (raiders, seahawks, vikings, broncos anyone???). we are not close to one of the worst teams in the league. like i said we are not as bad as you think just like NE was not as good as everyone thought last year (they got killed by the JEts in the playoffs remember)

Lets go then. I think Ireland did a pretty decent Job bringing talent here, but so did Cowler in Pittsberg. Irelend will have no problem getting on with another team.

"Awful In Game Coach"...BINGO.

Since Shula left we have had two kinds of coaches.

First their were the 'system' guys like the Johnson, and Parcells regimes. They have their formula and if the players don't fit it well hell just keep banging your head against the wall. Maybe it will work eventualy (NOT!).

The rest have been just inept NFL coaches who, as you rightly point out, can't do the most important thing an NFL coach must do...ADJUST TO WHAT THE OPPONENT IS DOING AT GAME TIME!!!!

Well at least I'm keeping the Bourbon companies in business drinking smiley

I agree, with one caveat. A lot of adjustments fall on the coordinators, and I've been encouraged by what I've seen from Daboll. He strikes me as a guy who's still learning, but is quite smart about his play calling. At this point he's struggling with personnel issues, but what he did against NE and his adjustment that lead Thomas to a 100 yard debut as a rookie can't be ignored. He can't help it if the execution is piss-poor. Sure, he's made some mistakes, but I think he's learning from those.

Now, as for Sparano...that's a different story.
