I agree with most of whats said but i think the defence will sort itself by week 4-5 but the running game and the "o" line is very poor, especially the right side. But yes..a long season is ahead...unfortunatley.
we need to teach the free safety to hold his position. they bite on every play fake.
our front four got manhandled and brady had all day. we use this approach against ne every game and it seems every game they torch us.
shake it up a bit. give multiple looks in the front 7. move wake around. get creative to get to brady. i'd rather take my chances than let him methodically rip our d to shreds. one of the few times we had our dbs at the line we got the int. other than that we were 10yds off the ball and ne picked that apart underneath.
henne had a decent game. we need to be able to score from the 1 and 2 though. those corner fades have about a 19% chance of success.

Especially chris clemmons. He wasnt very good last night. I think he was really bad.
It was Jones and Carroll who was the worst in the secondary but we got no pressure at all. But how we get out conditioned in FL from a team in NE...i dont think it was cramps they just got tired of gettin bombed on...Bright spot Henne didnt actually cost us the game he did alright some bad goal line playcalling

Did Clemmons even play? I thought Jones was at FS.

We’re obviously not a team in position to challenge for the AFC East. And once again we started the season with too many question marks and obvious issues. The real question right now is:
Is this team built to WIN in the NFL the way the game is played now?
We’ve invested a lot of time and $$$ in BIGNESS and yet – we looked slow and plodding, especially on D.
But NE presents a match-up puzzle few teams will be able to handle – especially when Brady has ZERO pressure. It’s really a prissy brand of “football” but they get the benefit of the leagues rules and get to play flag football while we’re somewhere between power football and post wildcat vertical passing with heavy doses of dink and dunk. I’m not sure exactly what we’re about at this point…
But yea, the OL is a lingering mess. That weakness pretty much sinks any hope of this team rising up. 4 years into the program and the OL is still problematic.
You say Daniel Thomas is a bust. That’s more than a bit judgmental. I agree the kid has a LOT to prove – but he at least needs a chance.
