New England. Mankins and Waters as their guards.

Think Bill isn't thinking about our defensive line?

The rich get richer!

Interesting that Waters was released in July at the start of training camp but refused all offers until signing with the Patriots last week. There have been reports of a significant decline in ability, but the number of calls Waters agent received, his price tag (5.5 million over 2 years) and testimony from Vince Wilfork (I hated playing against this guy) may mean that this is a significant upgrade for the Pats at RG.

This will be a transition for Waters who has been a LG; a position that Logan Mankins occupies for the Pats.

I don't know about declining ability, but he was an anchor on the KC line forever and their running game (with the exception of a couple of years) has been stellar forever. Priest Holmes to Larry Johnson to Jamaal Charles.

Plus, I would think NE would be the perfect place for a declining OL to go what with all the stuff they get away with that would be penalties for most of the other 31 teams.

Coach Haley is the one who remarked that players at his position go downhill fast...so make of it what you will. Typical Polian move to get rid of soon to decline vets...and typical Belichick move to squeeze last bit of use out of them.
