lol PF2....I got to give it to Dolfanmark and his note taking, I dont even remember Evan Oglesby making the 53 cut last year, so my hats off to him...
Either way, Jason Allen was cut because of future with the team, not neccasarily becasue he was the worst corner on the team. He went from the number 2 spot to being cut in a very short time, back to starting nickel spot and even number 2 at times for the Texans once we cut him.
16 teams kept only two qbs. Its more a sign of new rules than a lesser value being assigned by Miami IMO.
On another note Kevin OConnell was signed to jets practice squad. Now he's an informant....even though he was with Jets last year. Rookie qb McElroy was placed on IR...the one someone on this board was so in love with...
i've got no problem with keeping 2 qbs. reason being, if one of them gets hurt, we could sign o'connel or devlin back or any other QB off the scrp heap who is just as good/bad. no need to take up a roster spot. if both get hurt in the same game, just put donald thomas back there at wildcat qb. we'd probably lose that game anyway
Daniel Thomas might do better tha Donald...who is a guard and no longer on the team. Lol
NE only kept 2 qbs the past two years. I don't think the 3rd qb was a requirement in the past. It was more of a special allowance. You could have him dressed and ready and mainly to hold a clipboard ....but he basically didn't count against the active player number but could play in emergencies but with limitations for the other two qbs.
