I read the Bleacher Report article and the suggestion to trade for Tebow makes no sense to me.

1. I am sure the guys is getting paid 1st round QB money. Do we really want to be eating up that kind of salary cap space for our 3rd string QB?

2. The author of the BR atricle suggests that the Fins could use Tebow in short yardage situations. No, not really. As the 3rd string QB (and there's no doubt he would be behind Henne & Moore), he could not come into the game for a play here or there. My understanding is that if he entered the game before the 4th quarter, we would not be allowed to bring Henne or Moore back in the game. So, the only short yardage plays Tebow could participate in would be in the 4th quarter.

3. I agree we have a surplus of DE's. Why not trade for a position of need (TE or RT)... or start stocking up on some extra draft picks.

ANYBODY can write an article on Bleacher Report. It has ZERO credibility.

This "trade for Tebow" thing is reaching a level of ridiculousness.

The guy is not equipped to be an NFL QB. He's, at best, a utility guy like Jim Jensen. The Broncos are trying to see if someone will get stars in their eyes and trade a high draft pick for him. Tebow would be a waste on our team. I don't want him.

Other than salary cap space by paying for a high round pick, I'd say the roster spot is the biggest thing to lose.

I'd at least be open to the idea, if Tebow were cut outright. Then I'd try to work him in as a tight end/receiver type of player, who is also a threat to throw--as was said earlier, a Jim Jensen type.

But at this point it'd be a trade-for-a-first-rounder transaction, which is too expensive.

Just because its on the Bleacher report does not automatically make an Idea not worthy. You all want to be that close minded , thats your problem. I hear things said about big Name writers with all the credibility in the world here all the Time as well. What it comes down to is that you don't agree with the idea. Fine. Just say that.

The Cap Number is a good point . I would think Tebow at this point would be up to redoing his contract a bit or risk getting Cut. Obviously he was signed as a first rounder, but he is 3rd string talent at this point.

Worth looking into anyway.

if he were cut and we could sign him to a small contract with an eye torwards turning him into jim jenson (not as our starting Qcool smiley, I would be all for it.

I'd even trade a 5th rounder for him for that role. we'd all have been happy to have drafted him in the 5th round 2 years ago.

his 1st round contract, though, if the deal breaker.

I believe the qb rules as stated above is no longer in effect this year per new cba.

His contract is around 5 yr 9 mil and would only increase if he participated in excess of 45% of the snaps.

You don't win championships by trading for 4th string QBs.

I got one even better.

I wish we could trade for some qb, who I wont name, that was drafted in the 6th round. I hate his face with a passion right now but that could change if he was a member of the phins.

Now let me get back to reality.

I truly am going to hate him forever.

And cameron wake will take care of him soon..That monday night is almost here.

It cracks me up how a few months ago all the experts were talking about him being the starting quarterback and now he's like the 4th stringer. I think it was Merrall Hoge on ESPN that said something critical of him and everyone jumped on him about saying it so he had to clarify his statement to say he just wasn't a first round quarterback, now Boomer Eaisanson(?) and others are now saying the same things that Merrall said, now that he has been demoted to 4th string.

Most of these experts suck, they never say anything negative on the air because they are afraid of someone getting upset and not talking to them or some other crap.

Don't even get me started on Grudan and Ron J.

Anyways I wouldn't trade even a 7th rounder for Tebow at this point.

And up here in NC this morning all the sports radio is talking about is how can the Panthers get Luck next year.

Thats how much these so called experts know jr.

But the jury still out on tebow.

If he becomes a free agent i wish wed give him a shot...

I don't know how good he is but he is definetely better than our 3rd string qb.

I think the Tebow could come in and be a Crash Jensen type of player. Special teams, strong safety, TE. Bring him in (as a free agent of course). Denver will more than likely cut him.

There used to be a pitcher in mayor league baseball. He was lefty....He was wild as hell threw hard but wild as hell a complete and utter mess.

They turned him into an outfielder i think he plays for the cardinals..

Stunk as a pitcher but he is doing pretty well as an outfielder and a hitter.

So you never know.

Tebow SUCKS! Could not beat out Brady Quinn....probably not good enough to start in the Arena league or CFL.

Move on people....Miami needs talent, not Gator alumni!

I'm not sure which experts were talking him up. I pretty much get all my NFL news from Sirius NFL Radio. And if people haven't checked it out, it really is a great channel. The hosts do much more in depth analysis than most of the talking heads. With regard to Tebow, in particular, Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan were talking before the draft about how Elway didn't think Tebow was an NFL QB, and that Tebow had no support from the players in the locker room either. They were calling Kyle Orton as the starter in Denver months ago. I've never been sure where the Tebow love came from. Nothing has changed since he wasn't well regarded coming out of college. He's not accurate, is struggling with a pro style offense, and his mechancics need revamping.

Krung Fu............let the record show that i was never a tebow lover in fact i even said he was going to stink in the NFL...........I dont know if anybody recalls that...

All im saying is that if we can upgrade the roster in the tinniest way, then we should go on and do it...

Tebow is definetely better than our 3rd stringer. IMHO........Do you agree with that? Does anybody else agree that tebow is better than our third stringer..............?

But if we get him i hope we get him as a free agent...I dont want us giving a perfectly good round pick for him...Im totally against that.

he may be better than our 3d string QB, but not at a first round salary and not as a QB
