I've been away, and I'm not coming back. Seen Evan Silva give us a "D" for a draft grade and that's when the light bulb went off. Silva calls himself a Dolphins fan. Yep. Puzzle solved.

I am (unfortunately) well aware of the issues with the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel feed now that they have decided to force users to subscribe to their sports site.

As a result, I'm going to undertake a project during the off-season to allow users to customize the news feed on the website by selecting which sources they want to see. The technical details have yet to be worked out, but the easiest way to do it may be - ironically enough - to ask users to subscribe. If I do ask users to subscribe, subscriptions will be free and will only be used for the purpose of storing your preferences.

My goal is not to require a subscription, but if I do end up making it a subscription service, I will leave a version of the News Wire that is like the current one that doesn't require you to subscribe.

As always, your suggestions and requests are welcome (as long as they are civilized).

Due to free agency being a very popular time of year, the message boards are experiencing much-heavier-than-normal traffic. This is causing some pages of the site to load incompletely, or fail to load altogether.

Curt is aware of the problem and is trying to run some clean-ups and reindexing to help the board run more smoothly.

it would be cool to have a suicide pool as part of the website or a full pick ems each week that could see who pick the most games right...with just a check your box that has a timelock on it, i dont think it is to tough but would take some time to set up, I wonder how much donations it would take to get it done? I have been considering adding a pay-subscription option to Phins.com that would be in addition to the ad-supported site. This would probably cost about $2 per month and would include a completely ad-free site, with an autoloading and possibly customizable News Wire. It would also include rss feeds that could be customized and would take you directly to the site from the link, rather than through an intermediate link on Phins.com.

I would not be removing the Ad-supported site, so you could still get all the current Phins.com info for free, but the pay site would have more features for customization and no intrusive ads.

Im all for it, not only do I think he is the most versatile QB in the draft, meaning arm, brains, feet work, and pockett pressance. He will be a solid franchiser for a long time. Im good at 8 with this kid.
