Anthony Alabi, OT

Height:6-5
Weight:310
40 Time:5.23
College:  TCU

Stats:
Started 35 games in his college career, missing only one in his last 2 seasons.

Anthony Alabi has tremendous physical attributes and could mature into a terrific offensive lineman - if he gets the right training and has the right attitude. This behemoth can bench press 500 pounds and squat 810 pounds. His arms measure 36.75 inches long and his hands are 10 3/8 inches.

Opinions vary as to his play. SportsIllustrated calls him underrated and says that he plays better than he works out. However, they also say that he doesn't adjust very well and doesn't always finish off his blocks. Other reports say he doesn't have very good balance and has trouble pulling and running sweeps.

Positives: Alabi has amazing strength and good size for a tackle, plus the long arms that help him control defenders - especially during pass protection. He is also reported to be very smart and plays with a lot of intelligence. And he can bury opponents when he gets his hands on them.

Negatives: He has some trouble with his balance and leverage. He also needs to work on his footwork when pulling or trap blocking and can be beaten by speed rushes to the inside, despite his physical skills.

Comments: This kid has all the physical tools necessary to become an outstanding lineman in the NFL. And he'll have one of the best offensive line teachers in the world when Hudson Houck starts to work with him. The only real question is whether or not he can learn and improve his technique enough to play in the NFL.
